  1. I love it Katie! :) more!!

  2. 4:00... it was almost time. I waited in the front foyer of our house... I sat myself down on the large staircase and sighed. I watched the large hand on my watch went from the 12 to the 4. It had been 20 minutes and he still wasn't here.
There was a knock on the door. I took a deep breath and walked cautiously towards the front door. I opened it. There he was, standing in front of me.
"Sorry," he said softly. "I'm late. I really meant to be here on time, but I needed to stop somewhere and pick something up for my little sister. Anyways... I was suprised when I entered your neighbourhood. It sure is... full of BIG houses!" he laughed. I could tell he stuggled to find a word to describe the wealth of where I lived.
"It's fine. At least you came," I said.
He smiled. "I'm so glad! I really thought you were going to be mad at me!"
    "I was starting too..."
He laughed. I liked his laugh... Like Mackenzie's...
"Well let's get going! I'm somewhat eager to show you something... but please don't be sad when I do, alright?"
I didn't understand. Why would I be sad? But I nodded and we both got into his car.

First we went out to dinner together. Just an informal little cafe style resteraunt. The we went back to the car and we drove across town. Where was he taking me? Why was this taking so long. Then I notices some familiar things. We were headed in the direction of the cemetary Mackenzie was buried in.
    "T-turn back!" I said.
"No... I want to show you something. I told you not to get upset! Please trust me! This has nothing to do with what you are thinking!"
I trusted him. But taking me here? Why!?
"I... I... okay," I said leaning back and folding my arms across my chest. My heart was pounding.
As we got out of the car he led me to a grave. It read...

    Laura Jane Davis
    (1978-2005)
Daughter of John and Wendy Davis And fiancé to Mr.Rafe Isaya Cartier.

My face turned white... this was Mackenzie's cousin... I remembered meeting her on special occasions. She was... she was Mr.Cartier's fiancé! His supposed wife to be! She had died only two years ago! His world and my world... they had been so close!

  3. My story is written in the year 2007 btw!!!

  4. i was thrown off a little with the 2005 being 2 years ago. xD
    but I get it now.
    rotfl.
    I like it.
    It's interesting.

  5. I remembered... it was during Laura's funeral when I first met Mr.Cartier. It was at the end before everyone was about to leave.

"I'm going outside to get some air mother..." I said. I left before she could answer and I grabbed my coat. "Damn... I really hate funerals," I muttered. As I walked outside I saw a young man... in his mid twenties or so. He was sitting on the front steps of the chapel. I could hear that he was crying... softly and quietly though.
    "Um... Mister?" I said.
He turned around. I sort of recognized him. He was Laura's boyfriend... fiancé. He had blonde hair and his eyes were grey... like Mackenzie's.
"Oh. You were the young fiancé of that Davis kid weren't you?" he asked.
"Don't call me that!" I snapped. "Anyways, are you alright?" I asked. "I can tell that you were crying."
"Do you think I'm alright? My fiancé just died!"
"I'm sorry... my question was... anyways, I'm sorry for your loss," I said and turned and left. That was the end of our conversation, and the last time we spoke and saw each other until now...

    Present...

"I remember that evening... your hair was blonde though," I laughed.
"Yeah, I remembered a few days after I saw you. I thought I recognized you but I wasn't sure."
"I'm sorry if I made you upset," I said. I smiled, but not so he could see.
"No, it's fine. You remind me of her a bit. Not that I like you romantically or anything... but your personality and your features... they're so much like hers," he said. He looked into my eyes lovingly like he would have in hers and smiled.
    My heart was racing. "Um..."
"Well, I think I should get you home. I had a good time, never taken a student out like this... it was nice."

Once he dropped me off I watched him leave. I watched until he was out of sight before I turned and went inside. My heart was still racing and for some reason ached at the same time.

  6. ouuh!
    so intense.

    I love this story!

  7. I love it! More please

  8. 3 years ago...

It was congested... everyone at the funeral chapel were giving their condolences to Mackenzie's parents and I stood and watched, absent minded and disgusted... though I didn't know why.
"Mom, I'm going outside for some fresh air," I said leaving her side and grabbing my coat. I was cold outside, and the sun had now gone below the horizon. I sighed. "Mackenzie... I miss you already... did you know..." I paused. There was a man leaning against the building, a cigarette hanging from his mouth. He looked... alot like Mackenzie. I seized the urge to run to him and throw myself upon him. He noticed me and came over to me.
"Hey, you're familiar. Do I know you?"
"I don't believe so," I said not looking at him. But then I did, and examined his face. "Oh... your Laura's..."
    "Yeah... Her fiancé."
    "I'm sorry about that... really."
"Thank you. Not to intrude... But what was your relationship with the Davis boy?" he asked.
"He was my..." Lover? Friend? Enemy? What was he? "He was close to my family. Thats all," I told him. "I have to leave. Good bye," I said before I turned and left him.

It was damned cold... I remember that...

  10. I'm sorry for the VERY late update!!  I lost my iPod...

  11. School. I didn't want to go. I felt as if my heart would explode if I saw Mr.Cartier. I told myself I wouldn't love him... but I'm not sure if I can keep that promise... it bothered me. Was Mr.Cartier a replacement for Mackenzie? No that wasn't it but...
    "Katherine?"
I spun around quickly, my face flushed. Mr.Cartier stood behind me and smiled. He pushed his glasses further up on the bridge of his nose.
"I didn't expect to see you here this early. Is there something you need?"
"No! I just... Well you see... Ah never mind," I stammered.
"Alright. I understand. Would you like to come with me, I might need help preparing for today's lesson. You'll be there right?"
    "Maybe."
He laughed. "I definitely hope so."
I blushed. Damn... this guy was getting to me. I held my hand up to my hair and tucked some behind my ear.
"I'm sorry for saying this again. But your resemblance to Laura is... so unbelievably close."
    "I don't think so."
    "Do you remember her?"
    "No."
    "Then how do you know?"
"I just do. She was probably beautiful and intelligent. Nothing like me," I said.
"That's not true you're beautiful and intelligent too," he said.
    "What?" I turned to him.
He caught my eye and blushed in realization.
"Haha disregard that! I meant it in a teacher/adult way... I mean your attractive... No! Thats not what I meant to say! I mean you are! Ah! Forget it..." he muttered.
    I giggled. Mr.Cartier...

    ...I love you.
