Battle Of Sexes History

To all those players who have participated in Battle of Sexes,

First and foremost, I would like to thank those players who took their time to war in BoS. Thank you for showing interest in BoS. Your participation is very much appreciated. Although, preparing the whole war takes a lot time from my busy real life schedule, it’s still worth it. Both Boyfriends and Girlfriends did a great job in war.

Battle of Sexes: Boyfriends vs Girlfriends
The person who came up with this idea is none other than CharlotteAnne herself. It was her wish to have a war like this. In order to make her wish come true, I decided to start planning and arranging players and asking opinions from our close friends in the game. It started out as small war for friends against each other, to make PIMD more interesting for us. At that time, when T3 and T4 crew was introduced, lots of our friends started to get bored with the game. We recruited a few players to join our very first BoS war. CharlotteAnne thought of the club names and I balanced the roster for both sides. We had lots of fun in the war, spamming each other walls with wallarts, and cheering on campus throughout the 48hrs war. The players who participated enjoyed it as much as I did. It ended with The Boyfriends club won the war.

Battle of Sexes 2: Girlfriend’s Revenge
We started to organize the second BoS, due to request made by the players from the first war. So, instead of making it like the first BoS, CharlotteAnne and I discussed it together and decided to open it up to other players in PIMD. In order to get people to join, we posted on forum and did frequent post on Campus Chat. We had lots of players adding their names to the list. Of course, organizing the whole war for players in the game wasn’t an easy task, like balancing out the roster for both clubs, implementing the rules of war, and also choosing the correct admin to work as a team, in order to address any issues that arises before and during war. Above everything else, the most important factor would be the players participating. The players make BoS a successful war. For BoS 2, I feel that it wasn’t as exciting as I expected it to be. The Girlfriends voted to forfeit at the 24hr mark.

Battle of Sexes 3: Final Showdown
Finally, we come to last installment of BoS. BoS 3 was supposed to be in June 2011, but it was delayed due to our busy schedules in real life. I discussed with CharlotteAnne on a few occasions, whether we should even do this war again, because planning it is exhausting. I finally decided to organize BoS 3 because there were a lot of players requesting it. It was posted on forum and we had an overwhelming response from players. As a result, there wasn't enough room for everyone to participate in the war. It took me over a week to prepare the rosters for both clubs, including follow up with those who upgraded/had name changed, before posting up in forum. We had to keep balancing the rosters until the war started, because some of players on the roster either backed out, or upgraded stats. This time around, the war was very competitive and intense. The Girlfriends were very active and aggressive, compared to the last war. The Boyfriends started to buck up around the 24hr mark and managed to catch up with the girl’s plunder. I feel that BoS 3 is one of the most competitive and intense wars I have ever been in. It ended with The Boyfriends club winning the war.
