As soon as severus's lips came in contact with hers she immeadiatly felt herself melting away. She loved this man, more than anyone she knew. Before she could wrap her arms around him he pushed away. He put a hand over his mouth and didn't make eye contact with her, his face was extremely red. "Professor?" she asked. She was a bit hurt by the sudden movement. "Im... Going to leave now. Miss Granger please forget what happened, it was a mistake," he said and he turned and left her. Hermione sank to the ground. His words stung at her heart and she couldn't hold back the tears as they streamed down her cheeks. "Why...? I can't just forget something like that..." she cried quietly. And neither could he. As he left the room, he himself fell to the ground. Damn it! What in bloody hell did I just do?! "Im sorry Granger... but I am too old for you... please try falling in love with someonelse please..." he begged to himself. This was the worst torture ever. He loved this girl yet she was way younger than him. To his shock he felt something warm running down his cheeks, he lifted a hand to see tears... He hadn't cried since the death of Lily Potter. He really did truly love this girl...
Hermione sprinted up to the Gryffindor common room. She ignored Ron and Harry who had been waiting for her and ran to the girls dormitory and threw herself onto the bed and sobbed. "Snape! You idiot!" she cried into her pillow. Why couldn't he love her the she loved him. He had kissed her but did he really mean it? She wasn't sure but she doubted it. "Hermione! Breakfast!" called Harry the next morning. Hermione groaned as she woke up. Her eyes were still swollen from crying all last night. "Im coming, but go with out me I need to get ready," she told him. He obeyed and left her. Hermione made her way to the great hall alone. She sat herslelf down next to Ron and grinned at him. "Good morning Ronald!" she said happily. "Morning Hermione," he said back. "Its nice to see that you're feeling better," he said smiling. "I completely agree!" laughed Harry. Hermione looked towards the professors table to see Snape watching her, she quickly looked away and focused on talking to her friends. She was going to tell him... today she was going to tell Severus Snape her feelings for him...

Severus paced back and forth in his classroom. He had kissed Hermione and for some reason he regretted it. She probably thought him a pervert or a pedophile because she made no intent to kiss him back. "Damnit..." he whispered. He looked at the time, class was going to begin in 5 minutes and he wasn't sure if she would even come to his class anymore. 5 long minutes passed and Severus watched as his students came pouring into his classroom. When Harry and Ron entered Severus took notice that Hermione was not with them. He sighed. So he wasn't going to show up. 15 minutes later Hermione burst through the classroom door, out of breath. Her prescence made Severus blush. "Im sorry Professor!" she said between breaths. "I did not count on being late today!" "Take your seat Miss Granger and I will see you after class," he said avoiding her eyes. Hermione took her seat next to Harry and sighed as she took her textbook out. Harry looked at her. "Mione... you alright?" he asked. "Your face is extremely red." "Im fine, I just ran really fast to get here," she lied. And Harry knew this was a lie. Hermione told Ron and Harry to wait for her at Hogsmead once their class was over. They nodded and she smiled and waved to them until they were both out of sight. She quietly shut the door and went over to where Snape sat at his desk. "You wanted to see me?" she asked softly. He stood up and walked over to her. "Miss Granger... I wanted to talk about that..." he began but Hermione stopped him when she grabbed his robes and sobbed into his chest. "I love you Professor!" she cried. "I do! I really do!" Oh please... please let him love me back! She prayed. "Miss Granger... I'm sorry..." he said stuggling free. She looked at him hurt and he had prayed that she would not look at him that way. "Oh... I see," she said. "No! Miss Granger!" "Im sorry to have bothered you!" she cried and she ran out the exit. "Miss Granger!" he called after her but she did not look back at him. So she was wrong after all... She couldn't believe what she had just done. Severus cursed under his breath. He didn't care if the whole world knew, he was going to tell her. Exactly how he felt about her...
