THEME#2 FROM THE DEPTHS IGN: Hiyuki āā±ą¼»š„øą¼ŗā°ā My interpretation of āFrom the Depthsā is about looking into the deeper parts of our past. The memories inside the cup represent moments from different stages of life that shape who we become. The girl touching the water symbolizes looking back on those moments, while the small crack in the glass represents the struggles we carry along the way. Even with the crack, the cup continues to overflow, showing how memories and experiences keep building up despite the difficult moments. The baby at the bottom symbolizes the beginning of life and how far we have come since then. Spoiler: PROCESS
Theme 2: From The Depths Descent to the Depthā¦ A Kingdom of Deathā¦ Process: Inspiration: The Descent (Movie) and The Forest (Game) Medium: Journal page and acrylic paints I loved the movie and game, going to depths of caves to fight off monsters dwelling beneath the caves! This is my first time painting so Iām not really good at it. I just borrowed the acrylic paints.

We often associate drastic changes in someoneās appearanceāwhether itās cutting long hair into a bob or dyeing it a bright redāwith something deeper happening in their personal life. Itās as if a change in hair is more than just a change in appearance; itās a reflection of something shifting or releasing within us. With this idea in mind, I decided to create an image of a nude woman to represent vulnerability, Her hair flows endlessly. Her right arms bears a tattoo of a compass to show the idea of her navigating through lifeās ups and downs. I chose to draw deep-sea creatures, which only live in darkness, as a representation of the depths of memories and emotions that we, as humans, can feel and experience.

THEME#3 "DON'T LOOK AWAY" IGN:Hiyuki When I first saw the theme āDonāt Look Away,ā I immediately thought of the eyes. As a deaf individual, I am often reminded to use my eyes to understand the world around me. It is something I do every day, whether it is paying attention to facial expressions, observing gestures, or looking for visual cues to understand what is happening around me. Because of this, my eyes have become an important part of how I experience and connect with the world. Through this artwork, I wanted to express how something as simple as looking can have a deeper meaning in my everyday life. For me, āDonāt Look Awayā is not just about keeping my eyes open, but also about recognizing how much I rely on them to understand the things I cannot hear. Spoiler: PROCESS
