7th Annual Drawtober Art Challenge Our intent is to inspire creativity and to allow artists, both experienced and not, the opportunity to challenge themselves. This means that sketches, and rough drafts of projects are totally fine! In this challenge, judging will be based on how you decide to interpret the theme, rather than skill or overall product. There will be 4 different themes to tackle this year. Each theme will last for one week. Unlike previous years, themes will be announced as phrases rather than singular words. This Year's Banner Spoiler We decided to draw ourselves as a Monster High style creature using folklore from our cultural backgrounds. If anyone wants to learn about the monsters we chose, feel free to read the blurbs below! @Phobia - The monster I chose is “Unktehi” from Lakota legend. It’s a giant, horned, serpentine creature that dwells in the water and is thought to be responsible for mysterious deaths and disappearances- I always thought it was a super cool story and it was reason I was afraid of water as a kid lol. @Day - The monster I’m depicted as here is a Kitsune! In Japanese folklore, kitsune are a type of yokai often shown as shapeshifters that took the appearance of young women to fool humans. Rules Spoiler ✩ All types and forms of art are acceptable! Whether it be photography, painting, drawing, sculpting, baking, or even fashion! ✩ All submissions must have your IGN, and it must be handwritten. ✩ Digital Artwork must have proof of the process, such as showing layers or posting different images throughout the creative process. ✩ No plagiarism. This includes but is not limited to: Any AI program, Tracing, and or Copying of ideas of other artists. Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated, and will disqualify you from any prizes. ✩ All entries must be submitted by the deadline, and in this thread or in the PIMD Discord channel #drawtober2026 to count. ✩ All entries must adhere to all aspects of the Terms of Use of the game. ✩ The use of Alts is not allowed. Only one entry per person is permitted for each theme. ✩ In respect of this event and other artists, please take the time to make an effort on your entries. If you did it in 1 minute just because you want a mod crate, this may be grounds for disqualification. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in a forfeiture of potential prizes. Each will be announced in this thread at 12pm PST on their respective dates. Please check the most recent page, or this section of the thread for the updated themes. If for whatever reason you are unable to access forums during this time, please contact @Day or @Phobia. Prizes Spoiler During this event, each theme will have 1 winner who will receive 1 crate. Theme winners are still eligible to win as a mod favorite as well. One GRAND PRIZE WINNER will also receive 3 mod crates! This person will be selected based on their use of the medium of choice, and interpretation of theme. If you are selected as the Grand Prize Winner you cannot win any other prizes. This year we’ve also invited some of our fellow mods to take part in the contest and pick their favorite entry!
