I got silenced where the moderator claimed I was advertising an outside app in Connections. Only post I made in the hour in Connections was "Add me for RP. Guys will be spit on my a herpes ridden llama." How the heck is that advertising an outside app is beyond me!
Literally got banned last week for discussing how long One Piece is and that I was not trying to drag ass on one of the arcs
I believe they are getting too many now, so its automated answers. Getting a person is either difficult or impossible, maybe under staffed. The issue with banning for certain words is context isnt taken, so it may as well be AI monitoring the chats. You cant say going to mums for dinner, or I prefer hot coffee to iced. While everything is opinion based there is also no actual clear line.
This is actually not true in the slightest. Both of those things are fine to say. Currently, the rules set by the devs say that hot cannot be used to describe attractiveness but can be used to describe literal temperature. Also under the current rules, mom and mum are fine while mommy and mami are not. Also, all of these are silences not bans. If you have an issue with these rules, please direct your feedback to the devs but please try to get the information correct before speaking on it.
Some have been silenced for as much as .. or an emoji, or saying an avi is hot. That i do have proof of. And not all cultures shorten to mum/mom/mam some will very naturally use a longer version with absolutely no undertone of anything than parent
Also i stated words were banned, not players? So im unsure what you mean by they were silences not bans? I wont however sign off as rudely for it not being read properly
You said 'banning for certain words'. Also saying a avi is hot has a sexual drive towards it sexual stuff isnt allowed in public chats now
As Dinos said, saying an avi is hot is not discussing their temperature and is clearly discussing physical attractiveness, which is currently not allowed. Some emojis are also not allowed if its clearly sexual, you can find that info on the first page of this thread. I don't disagree with this but those are the current rules set forth by the devs. As I stated previously, please direct your feedback towards the devs as mods have no control over the rules. I was responding to "banning for certain words" because no we don't ban for words. Those are silences. Hope that clears things up
Username and Club Name Policy Update Hey everyone, We've been reading through feedback since the recent public channel/chat policy update, and one thing came through pretty clearly: the update was a lot stricter than we intended when it came to usernames, club names, and club tags. We’re introducing a dedicated policy for usernames, club names, player tags, pet names, and other publicly visible player-created identifiers. The new policy allows more room for creativity, humour, and mild fantasy or cartoonish language while maintaining clear restrictions against targeted harassment, impersonation, graphic violence, hate speech, explicit sexual content, personal information, and prohibited off-platform solicitation. This update applies specifically to player-created names and does not change the broader rules governing public messages under the Silencing Policy. We want to thank you all, especially those of you who have been part of the PIMD community for many, many years and have continued to show your support while keeping us accountable to helping this game flourish. We appreciate all the feedback and we continue to be open to positive changes. ➡️ Read the complete Username and Club Name Policy here.
Do people who had their name force changed that now meet these new rules get a free name change to get their name back?
Why change the rules for clubs and igns but keep the strict silences for public channels? Makes NO sense. It’s a decent first small baby-step back for a huge overstep /overcorrection that went way too far.
