Meet the Players Around Campus 🎤 For this year's ATA Day, we wanted to do something extra special and shine the spotlight on the people who make PIMD what it is: YOU We sat down a couple of players from different stages of the game to chat about how they found PIMD, what kept them around, their favourite memories, and the friendships (and shenanigans) they’ve picked up along the way 💕 Come meet some of the personalities behind the usernames and read about their PIMD stories 🎓✨ Check_Nez-or-No Quick Bio I've been playing PIMD for 12 years total and i just hit 10 years on this account. Panda & Crows Tavern is my home club but The Moon Manor is my go to EC club. I would say my favourite drop was the unicorn shards! I loved the witchy themes and color scheme and of course who doesn't love baby unicorns! Happy to be apart of ATA day 🫶🏽😊 How did you discover PIMD? What intrigued you enough to stay? I was young and bored honestly I had been looking for a game where I could make friends and pass the time. I ended up scrolling through Google plays game section when I found this college themed game and said "why not". What compelled to stay was the people! I had met so many friendly and hilarious people when I first joined at some point I couldn't imagine not chatting with them everyday. Let’s be honest, PIMD is kind of wild at first. How did you learn to play this game? My pup at the time was super sweet and probably one of my best friends. A little bit of a know-it-all (in the best way possible) but i was a noob so I was grateful for any and all advice they could give me. If you could suggest a unique hunt theme, what would it be? Skeletons in the closet: A Halloween murder mystery that goes into each of the main characters hidden secrets to find out who the killer is -- Plot Twist: it was all a dream JD had after having too much Halloween candy What’s the most wholesome memory you’ve had on PIMD? This is a sad one but wholesome nonetheless I had a friend battling an illness with a high likelihood they wouldn't survive but he never lived like his time was short. He was the funniest and most caring person ever. He treated his friends like royalty if he found out you wanted something he was absolutely getting it for you. He had a high stat account and im assuming money to spare because he seemed to always just be able to say yes. When his health declined to the point he couldn't play as much or be himself he gave his friends his most cherished belongings stats/furnis. To this day I will never sell my Stone and Melvin 499 and Descendants Sculpture 999. RIP my friend If you could meet one ATA staff member, who would it be and why? ATA-Claptrap is my favorite mostly because im a huge fan of borderlands but also because they seem to have a great relationship with plenty of players already and I love a people person. What’s one life lesson you’ve taken away from PIMD? You don't have to limit yourself to the area you live in order to have life long friends! I've made friends who live far from my hometown in Texas some who live in the same state and others who live across the world. Just be yourself and you will find your people even if they aren't right next door to you. If you had to design a PIMD bumper sticker using PIMD slang or common phrases from the game, what would the sticker say? Moody like Cordelia, Hungry like JD, and Kind like Molly. If you could be a dev for a day, what would you change and why? (Shoutout to @QUINN for submitting this question!) I would make a toggle setting where a player could revert back to the old UI system settings for things like profiles and chat backgrounds to help save on battery life or if people prefer the old design in general (cough cough me) Have you made any friendships on here that moved onto real life? (Shoutout to @JudgeKai for submitting this question!) Yes, a few actually! I've added a few people off app throughout the years and have even kept in touch with some to this day. Although we dont chat like we all used to but we always check in with each other every few months/years What's one PIMD moment or experience that made you realize the game had become more than just a game for you? (Shoutout to @Corazon for submitting this question!) I was in a dark place a few years into playing the game and I had made this one friend who was honestly such a good listener. We would call each other late into the night and they never made me feel like i was complaining too much or i was being insufferable. They just cared about my well-being enough to let me be upset whether or not I took their advice they always just let me talk about what i was going through. Eventually things got better and I got better too but it wasnt without that friend who just let me take up space. I realized way early into my years playing Pimd that this game could be a place where you come for the game but stay for the people. (ATA: That last part definitely hits 💜) _-YUE-_ Quick Bio I started PIMD about a year ago which was April 2025 to be precise. Currently doing sessions at Reflection, I'm also admining at 2 other clubs one is a flash club the other a BYO. How did you discover PIMD? What intrigued you enough to stay? I discovered PIMD through ads while i was exploring interactive games, and initially I was just curious to see what the game was about. What kept me around was how much more there was to it than I expected. The community, events, hunts, and the social aspect made it easy to stay engaged, and over time it became something I genuinely enjoyed being part of. Let’s be honest, PIMD is kind of wild at first. How did you learn to play this game? Honestly, a lot of it was trial and error! 😂 I learned the basics by exploring the game myself, asking other players questions, and picking things up along the way. The community definitely helped make the learning curve easier, especially once I started getting involved with other players and clubs. For as long as you've been playing PIMD, what was probably your #1 favorite hunt? Honestly I like every hunt because its different and unique and im most probably looking forward to the next hunt. If you could suggest a unique hunt theme, what would it be? I’d love to see a “Parallel Universe” hunt where each storyline explores a different version of PIMD—different eras, realities, or alternate versions of the characters. It could give the devs a lot of creative freedom with the art, stories, and items. What’s the most wholesome memory you’ve had on PIMD? One of my most wholesome memories is simply the friendships and support I’ve received from people I met through the game. Whether it was helping each other during hunts, celebrating achievements, or just having random conversations, those little moments are what made PIMD feel like more than just a game. If you could meet one ATA staff member, who would it be and why? Honestly I’d love to meet you [ATA] Marceline . I think it would be really interesting to meet someone behind the scenes and hear what it’s like working on a game with such a large and passionate community. I’d especially love to hear about how they come up with ideas for hunts and new content. If you could be a dev for a day, what would you change and why? (Shoutout to @QUINN for submitting this question!) I’d probably focus on improving the overall player experience—especially making some features more convenient and adding more ways for long-term players to stay engaged. I’d also love to have a little influence over future hunt themes because I think there’s so much potential for creative and unexpected concepts. Have you made any friendships on here that moved onto real life? (Shoutout to @JudgeKai for submitting this question!) Yes! I’ve made friendships through PIMD that eventually became friendships outside the game as well. It’s honestly one of the coolest things about PIMD Fuyu Quick Bio I started the game back in 2019, although I'm not entirely sure the date month, I do recall it was the "Neofuture" hunt. I remember getting the 499ecs Ocelot I thought it was really cute but as a noob that time I sold it for bentos. I'm currently staying at my friends' club "The Bubble". The friends I met on Kingdoms of Heckfire from crossover. We've been to wars together and still thriving today 🤭 I love KatieBear, Papacoopsy, Gus and the rest of bears I'm filipino and I'm such a huuuuge fan of any asian misc! I really like the "Osmanthus Wine" misc. It reminded me of a certain character from a different game and I think it's a pretty misc. Marcie and the team, thank you again for this wonderful opportunity. 💖 How did you discover PIMD? What intrigued you enough to stay? I discovered PIMD thru an ad on instagram. The ad was changing their dorms to a different theme and I thought it was a cool concept and you get to change avatar as well so I downloaded to check it out. I was intrigued to stay a little longer bcs of the cool avatars and furnitures! Let’s be honest, PIMD is kind of wild at first. How did you learn to play this game? Pretty wild LMAO the first thing I needed to know are the game slangs or terms because as a noob, I never would've guessed "LF SP WMP" (which means: looking for story pass wall me price) 😭 it was definitely an alien language for me that time. Sometimes we gotta learn the hard way lol For as long as you've been playing PIMD, what was probably your #1 favorite hunt? Omg can't believe I've been playing for 7 years now! My fav hunt has always been any asian hunts. Honorable mention is "My Ren Faire" hunt where I did my first ever T100! It was a fun and memorable one! If you could suggest a unique hunt theme, what would it be? Hear me out, VOLLEYBALL THEMED HUNT. Take inspiration from Haikyuu! I really love this anime and I'm sure there's a lot of ppl who agrees with me :> What’s the most wholesome memory you’ve had on PIMD? The player base on PIMD is really huuuge. People all over the world in one game is insane to me. Also the friends I made in this game are the sweetest! One time when the chocolate bar thingy event happened, my dearest Katiebear gifted me the 2nd bar to get the avatar 😭 and it was selling for a high price when it came out so I'm really grateful for her. If you could meet one ATA staff member, who would it be and why? Tbh, I'm fine with anyone bcs they're all different ppl and it would just be awesome to be with a brilliant person. What’s one life lesson you’ve taken away from PIMD? People come and go. But the party must go on 💅 If you had to design a PIMD bumper sticker using PIMD slang or common phrases from the game, what would the sticker say? "KEEL PAWTY" I like saying that whenever the party's almost over lmao If you could be a dev for a day, what would you change and why? (Shoutout to @QUINN for submitting this question!) If I could be a dev for a day, I'd probably just add a "word filter" on pub or to any chat. Pub is fun to hang around but there are words you don't wanna see sometimes and I think it ruins the experience of having fun. It's true there's censorship on game but these ppl will do anything to make another term for it. It just suck sometimes. Have you made any friendships on here that moved onto real life? (Shoutout to @JudgeKai for submitting this question!) I have, yes! Do I still talk to them irl, yes! There are indeed good people out there and I'm lucky I found mine whom I can trust in this world full of fake people lol xD What's one PIMD moment or experience that made you realize the game had become more than just a game for you? (Shoutout to @Corazon for submitting this question!) When I literally eat PIMD for breakfast?😭 Like that's the first thing I do waking up lmao and get worried if I missed any parties especially if you're trying to finish the hunt! But fr, I met the best people on this game and I have to thank ATA for it. I'm able to express my creativity thru dorms and highlighting cute misc on your inventory. It's really a fun experience for me. 🩷 Questions for ATA And because no interview should be one-sided, we flipped the mic around too! Our featured players got to ask us a few questions of their own, and members of the PIMD dev team stepped in their thoughts! What is one under-rated or unused game mechanic that people should be more aware of? [ATA] Jean: Great question, and a tough one to answer! In my experience, PIMD players are very good at figuring out optimal ways to play the game. The only thing I can think of is that most players don’t level up their dormmates, while it’s actually always beneficial to do so. The cost/stat ratio is indeed much lower than base tier dormmates, but because you get 100% of the Cash invested on leveling up back when you tier up, it’s essentially free. It still feels bad though, so this is something we’re currently working on improving with the balance changes we’re making to dormmates. Would yall ever consider bringing back old game mechanics like grey names for new players or the silence updates in campus chat? [ATA] Will: Nothing's necessarily off the table, but bringing back old features is trickier than it sounds. With PIMD's history, every mechanic we removed had a reason — player feedback, exploits, tech limitations, policy changes — and we need to understand that history before considering a return. Beyond that, we have to weigh the value: would this actually benefit the community as it stands today, or would it upset specific user groups? And would the time spent on it pull focus from updates that'd have a bigger impact overall? I can’t speak to the specific features you called out above at the moment, but hope this gives a bit of clarity as to some of the process we need to go through before making changes that could potentially have a major impact on the community. What is one hunt concept the ATA team has always wanted to create but hasn’t had the opportunity to yet? [ATA] Azure: I asked the PIMD Creative team and here is what they had to say 👀 ‣ An eldritch horror theme if only sexy cthulhu was possible… ‣ A winter horror theme with ghostly-looking characters in pretty clothes out in the snow ❄️ ‣ A frog theme was on my wishlist for YEARS but it finally happened this year 🥹🐸 Aside from that, I’d love a hunt with a classic 2000’s goth anime aesthetic Sexy cthulhu 💀 That's All Folks We hope you lot enjoyed reading about your fellow PIMD players' stories as much as we did; it's always so heartwarming to get to know the people behind the pixels and how PIMD is a huge part of their life 🥺💜 It reminds us what we're all here for! We're excited to do this again next year and if you want a chance at being featured, look out for the application form coming in late summer of 2027! If you have any feedback or thoughts on how the next one should go, let us know too! See y'all next year 😙✌🏼

So happy to see Nez on here!! An absolute angel and undeniably one of my best friends 🩵 And so fun to read through everyone’s interviews!!
Funny because who are these people? 😂 meanwhile theres actual people who have done a shit ton for this community and wheres the recognition?
I don’t think it’s a popularity contest. PIMD is too cliquey anyway so I’m glad they chose day to day members.
I don’t know, this feels a bit disappointing to see people acting like this. These aren’t nobodies- they’re people with their own friends and communities. They may not be the most recognizable names, but they aren’t nobodies. I’m happy for each of the people shown here, and glad they got their moments of recognition.
You're right about this. People just act salty like little school children cause they don't get their in-game "recognition". If someone does anything for the community out of the goodness of themselves and not for clout, why would not being in the spotlight for something like this matter? I'm contented about who they picked. Hope they don't change this format.
