Ngl, I was hoping this was gonna be handled so much better, as silly as that probably sounds. You know this isn’t to encourage trading, it’s for a cash grab. Otherwise we wouldn’t need: •800 shards for a base avi •1,250 shards of one color to get a VIP box •1,250 shards of ANOTHER color to open said box •2,500 shards of yet ANOTHER color to buy VIP+ box •2,500 shards more of one of the colors you already are collecting to open VIP+ box. That is a whopping 4 out of the 6 sunglasses shades, and 8,300 shards for ONE AVI. If you plan on getting the VIP+. Not to mention, you’re assigned 2 colors that you can get from boxes for free, but the boxes are still 149 ECs to open and you get about 450 drops of those colors. And the converters are 75 ECs, IF you have the shards you’re trying to convert.(also for VIP+, these Avis’ stats kinda aren’t that great either) Some people might like this new system, to each their own, but for me, this just reeks of greedy cash grab under the guise of trying to promote player interaction with in game mechanics.
If the spenders are complaining then u know u messed up majorly. Something like this requires MORE drops at a minimum. 450??? Whose bright idea was that? This is so convoluted and unnecessarily complicated. I'm guessing it was done to hide the obvious attempt at a money grab. How are we spending MORE to get LESS?? Fire whoever thought this would be a great idea. Usually the first day of shards has players in exchange buzzing with trades and trade offers but there's hardly anything. That alone is message enough. People are tired.
Make it 84 ec per box if it's gonna be 450/800 per box. That way the ec value is equivalent to the shard drop cut. It's basic math. 450/800 = 56.25% 56.25% of 149 = 83.8125, but we can't use part of 1ec, so round up to 84. Be logical instead of being so full of greed. Thx 🩷
The fact that a) they limit us to two types of shards, and b) only give out 450 per box?? if you were to try and open for the vip+ that would be, bare minimum, 8300 shards (18.5 boxes) 2831 ecs for 19 boxes, if you could trade all your shards 1:1. It’s incredibly clear now that ata cares more about their profits than any enjoyment from their players. They’re so obviously trying to test the limits with how much they can get away with charging. First every avi getting a vip+, and now this? It’s appalling, and honestly disappointing to see.
No. This is still way too high. You give us half the amount of shards, then cut the price in half. Better yet, make them drop FOR FREE from parties. Yall off your rocker. I’m not paying for this crap. 🚮
This is stupid why are u limiting what color we can get that drops from the boxes ? Just let all the colors drop or let us choose what color . Why do we need more shards to open the avi box that’s even dumber . Then the drop rate when u open the shard box also sucks 450? Is so low
Wow the update made me more disappointed. We complain and give feedback and all you guys do is throw a 30ec discount as if thats a big deal. Please just again never do this. We did not suggest this, we've made plenty of good suggestions on what we actually would have preferred and clearly you all are just not listening and choosing to keep doing whatever you want. Still not buying it.
Hi, this is false information. PIMD is not being changed to 13+ and will be remaining 17+. This has been confirmed by multiple in-game moderators after checking with the devs.
I heavily agree with much of the sentiment expressed in this thread. This methodology is overcomplicated, unnecessary, and will confuse a vast majority of the playerbase. While I appreciate the team trying to introduce new mechanics in an attempt to keep the game fresh, this execution is unfortunately (still, even after the adjustments) needlessly complex and quite expensive. I look forward to more adjustments being made to these shards promptly, because they are quite lovely. It's unfortunate how realistically unobtainable they are right now.
Glad to see interaction from the devs in a fairly quick time frame, but I still will gladly sit this one out. Not everything has to be about money. The way it's going we'll probably have to start paying to hit PotD/PPotD. The greed never ends. As long as people spend on the ridiculous stuff like this, they're just going to keep doing it no matter how many complaints. Money speaks louder than words. I don't even remember the last time I purchased shard avis. Either by opening boxes myself or buying with bentos. Because even if I'm using bentos the seller had to spend to get the shards. I'll keep sitting out on shard avis and live just fine. This could've been way more fun and interactive for the community as party drops like many have said and thought from the beginning of this post. Like a while back for I think it was Easter when we had sheep or something drop and needed to trade to get what we wanted.
You guys would've been successful in pushing this "new and exciting barter system" if it was accessible for everyone. Spenders would've gotten a lil break and non-spenders would've gotten a cute avi with minimal effort if this was just a party drop thing. Hell, it would've been even better if it dropped from POTD and PPOTDs so ppl who couldn't afford to pay for EC clubs can access this and POTD clubs would've had more ppl inside that they can socialize with. If y'all thought about your player base for once, you could've thought about this where everyone would've benefitted from. Greedy ass developers. All this could've, would've, but didn't is pissing me off 😂

I appreciate the making the icons show it can be tradable and cutting it down a little bit but it’s still way too expensive… I have to agree with everyone at least make the base avatars be attainable through parties ie: making only enough shards drop for a base avi. For 450 shards per box you open at the rate of 119ecs is horrible. Especially with the amount of shards you need for each avatar
