This was suggested a while ago. But the implementation is apparently difficult. Players who receive a wrong channel silence longer than 24h can send a help ticket for a possible reduction.
If you're posting here in forums, you weren't banned. You were just silenced. Banning is something else entirely.
Genuinely who asked why you are “trying to protect minors that manage to make it in” because ban and/or fire that person. That being said you can have a 17+ game with 17+ content while still protecting kids with minimal effort but this over-policing/parenting when you’re community is 20+ at this point is pointless, aggravating, and game killing.
Apparently its not 17 plus bc they banned me for it 😭 and won't reply to me about it while I'm 18 lol
Not to be rude or anything but u don't know my situation people have alts lol.. and no I'm not silenced I was originally for 1 day and then I've lost like every chat communication after trying to appeal and lost all Chat communications. None one will answer me after one specific mod or whatever has had it out for me ... bc im 17? I'm an adult lol 😭 besides it's a 17 plus game even tho they seem to say its 13 plus now which is like confusing.....
But the what's it like to be banned? Bc isn't being silenced a thing for like only a day? Idk first time this happend soo
Banned means you can no longer access PIMD. Silencing means you cannot post in public chats and can last anywhere from 24 hours to a permanent silence.
I know you're not banned because you're here posting in forums. You wouldn't be able to log onto PIMD at all if you were banned.
If there is anyone 13-17 on the app their game is completely different, there’s no chat features in public or club chats, and they can’t see avatars. If anyone is in chat claiming to be between those ages their access will be revoked which sounds like what’s happened here since you said you’re 17
I thought people 16 and under were supposed to be permanently banned from PIMD. Is this not the case anymore? This was never communicated to us.
TOS and this post even still say the game is ages 17+ only, and TOS specifically says that under 17s will have their "accounts immediately disabled."
It hasn’t been communicated yet unfortunately but the devs are working on it. I’ve just saw your other post about tos, these are also being changed to reflect this along the lines of 13-17 have a heavily limited experience (eg no social features) of the game and the fully functional part of the game is 18+, it’s taking a while to change due to legalities
I'm a little confused because this is very conflicting information than what I've seen from several other moderators, for example in this thread.
What Leigh is talking about is the newer age verification. It’s a countermeasure for when minor inevitably try to come on game. It gives them nothing though. They can’t see inappropriate content, add people, see any form of chat, see club walls, or really do anything out just mindlessly hit a party. There’s going to be a more in-depth explanation soon. Previously the game had no real verification, so this is a step in the right direction. To be clear, the game will be enforcing 18+ and anyone who states otherwise will be removed as we’ve done previously.
