For a while I used pub quite actively, but eventually I stopped because it became impossible to communicate there due to the amount of content and messages I didn’t enjoy seeing. So for me, this update is actually more of a positive than a negative. That being said, I do agree that having a large number of new chats may become inconvenient, especially with the current navigation system — swiping left and right doesn’t feel very comfortable. Maybe it would be more convenient to add some sort of buttons for quickly switching between chats, because even now people sometimes accidentally post in club chat, and I’m pretty sure this will become an even bigger issue with more chats added. But overall, I’m happy about this update and I hope it positively affects the game and the way people communicate. Because to me, first and foremost, this is a social interaction game, and talking to other people is one of its most important features. So thank you, it’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
So if I see the no saying 18+ because it can insinuate sexual content. But if I say "add me 25+" is that really considered sexual solicitation? I randomly ask for people in my age range to add me cuz I prefer talking to people in my age range. 😅 Also: is club chat considered public? I know there's NSFW clubs that RP in cc. And with DMs if someone states theyre underage or state theyre a creep, can we send a ticket to report them? I know ATA doesnt moderate DMs. But those types of things should be in my opinion. Is campus going to be the general chit chat option?
Making me slide four times just to get to club chat is wild (good luck to all other ec admins). Yes I can technically turn off the other channels and use them only when needed, But where's the functionality in that?
It’s a good idea and I see what’s trying to be implemented, but I agree with a lot of the previous comments expressing how such change was executed. Caused way more commotion and confusion than necessary, I seen a few people saying they were already silenced for posting in wrong channels. I’d also like to stress, with as many chats as we have now… speakers shouldn’t even be a thing anymore, why is there still a limit of “25”.
They have listed examples of what's okay and what isn't. "25+ add me" is fine as long as it doesn't get more detailed than that
They said in the post that the person would be directed to open a help ticket. I would hope that means that they get a free name change
Removing pub is one thing but having several different ones seems counterproductive. The nature of most players don’t really fit this much structure. All in all, good luck to the mods 😭

This is genuinely a ridiculous update to me. Campus being used for Buying/Selling/Advertising clubs was fine. If people wanted to talk to eachother they would use pub or club chat, I cannot stand seeing so many new notifications now. And why can't we unfollow Campus chat too while we're at it? I'm not interested in a channel you are now trying to push as a general conversation channel.
The question everyone asks is: you will be asking players to confirm their age by submitting their Identity online on a videogame platform? I am assuming this measure would be implemented unless i am just reading too much into it. I personally don’t need to do that considering the age of my account, however for new accounts? What does this verification imply?
You know what, I dont love how many channels there are but I actually like this. Pub needed to go. A trade channel is a great idea, and the rest can be turned off.
👏 Thank you. These changes are a welcome move. Sharing some thoughts regarding other community and communications directions to take: 1. A rationalization of the speaker token limits/system can be thought of. Given that these communications are meant to engage people in a digital public chatroom, perhaps a different way of rate limiting users to avoid spamming maybe considered? Things like: A. Rate limit on the number of messages that a user can send in a span of time (10-15s); B. Minimum character count in addition to a maximum character count; C. Increasing character count to 140. 2. Stickers for pub use: To enable game-themed emotive, expressive communication in public channels, tradeable/purchasable stickers can be a good consideration. 3. Recruitment for clubs: The ability of admins to have a one-click banner publication mechanism. This can follow a more restrictive form of the speaker token limit system that exists currently. This can extend to flashes/BBBs as well. 4. Club showcase improvements: Ideas here include: A. Additional banner display artwork that clubs can unlock through quests/purchase with EC; B. Displaying the most frequent type of parties the club runs (regular/pro/EC); C. Displaying the avg. party duration (last 7 days) 5. Rethinking the "Club Rep" Role: An often overlooked position in the admin hierarchy, this role can be rethought to be made more meaningful for clubs and players alike.
Since y'all are doing changes, make sure to ban those who are scamming with messages about selling 🍱 for irl money.. Also, would be nice if y'all make a change about game bullies and pdfs as well.. Neither of them shouldn't be allowed in game. Especially not those who lurk minors or interact with them. One more thing: Try to add in Play store "PG 21" so minors don't install and think this is appropriate for them. Another thing im bothered with is that there's bunch of people who take this game too serious and then start scolding and bullying others. That needs to stop. Idc if they're spending their money ig or not, bullying players is disgusting and it needs to be stopped.
Can we please make it so we can see speaker count by tapping the banner in all chats, not just Student Union? 🙏 Or have the count visible on iOS like Android?
I fully support this update. I've seen WAAAAAY too many toxic situations arise from sexual solicitation/exploitation. The fact that certain things were allowed (or were a gray area) gave some players confidence to act in an inappropriate manner. I do agree that speaker tokens are redundant and everyone should be able to speak freely, especially since there are now more channels.
