Interesting point! I wonder if it really matters, though. We will get out of touch as updates come and that's fine. We can only do our best to read them as they come and get accustomed. New players can help new players. We haven't always had people with 10 years of experience to ask for help. When I started playing, at most they had 4 years of experience.
It does feel as though there is some fat in the early tiers and upgrades. For years, the advice has been to skip tiers and NEVER upgrade a dormie. You could possibly cut the tiers in half and have meaningful star upgrades which act as a smooth and effective bridge between them. I think also the end game progression is outbalanced by premium content - black market "misc". A limit of 250 items is sound for a 125kcs item but a 6mcs item? Who needs 250 of them? I want to advocate for a reduction. 125 250kcs. 64 1mcs items. 32 2mcs items. 16 4mcs items. So these crazies can be slowed, naturally. This isn't the dorm tower, but it has helps to support its significance. Many players entirely stop upgrading and just focus on buying items because they are better than upgrading.
It's not a myth , I'd dont know the per dollar rate but if you upgrade from let's say t 7 to t8 it's like 284b and t7 to t9 is something around 988 b the thing is when you are spending 284b on one up tier only around 60 to 50 b minus from t9 amount as you upgrade from t8 to t9. The Main difference comes because of the initial cash investment in the t 8 (in this scenario )
😳 The comparative values of even vs odd tiers... Or which you're better sticking with are based purely on 1) how much money it costs to buy an odd tiered dormie. and 2) how much your stats increase based on that. T1) 700cs for $1k T2) 6,300cs for $225k T3) 42,000cs for $16m T4) 170,100cs for $600m T5) 689,000cs for $10b T6) 2,560,000cs for $40b T7) 10,000,000cs for $80b T8) 20,000,000cs for $300b T9) 36.2mcs for 1T T10) 70mcs for 2.8T T11) 115mcs for 6.9T I've created a spreadsheet showing the trend on logarithmic scale, to demonstrate how the bang you get for your buck on dormies changes. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...qa0ewYv2EGZiLXm3K_sR8hBx01w/edit?usp=drivesdk Here's a screenshot of that. Tiers 7-11 are all basically the same. We should be trashing tier 5 and 6. A.T.A should definitely address them. It looks like they realized they were getting TOO expensive for the cost and reigned things in quick smart with t7.
😮😨 first of all huge applause you need for doing the entire work and analyzing the entire economy on party dorm mates. Now I kinda get your point but my main issue is with when you are upgrading from the previous tier they should minus the cost of the previous tier from the next tier even if the base increase like three times the previous one then the players would be accessing all the tiers in the process, Second from the chart it's good to address the spike from t5 and t6 just like you said Also these all the prices I believe are from t1 to the destinated tier like if we go t1 to tier 9 then it's 1t while if we are going with odds then the total cost would be around 1t 90b or like 1t40b ? The main problem arise there for me 🫠 Again man nice of you to analyze it that deep
Hey appreciate it. I think your way of thinking about it has a flaw and I'll try to simply demonstrate and explain it but I think I might fail. Related ideas are Zeno's paradox, analysis paralysis, and overthinking. ... ________________________ this stick is long. It represents the increase in stats of a t11 dormie. _____|___|___|_______|____ same stick. But instead we've marked t3, 5, 7, 10. Now you're measuring and relating only to the increase from t10 to t11. We run the risk, here, of comparing unlike terms. And I think what you might have lost here is that there is also a stick for costs which is ye long _________________________ but could also be cut up as such but you've forgotten to do that. _____|___|___|_______|____ The graph I shared is uncut. There are no horizontal lines cutting and showing the change from tier to tier. But all of those lines and subdivisions can be made and, added together, still make the full picture. And by placing those lines in, it can make your gains clearer but it makes understanding the bigger picture more confusing. We used to lose a significant amount of money when exchanging dormies which added another layer of complexity but this shouldn't be too relevant here. You are correct that the amount of stats gained from t8-t9 isn't what I write here as being the stats of a t9, but you also get a full refund of all the money spent on your t8 so both lines stay level. Idk how well I explained that. Let me know what you're thinking.
👋I've been playing since my kids were kids, now they are grown and I would love to ba apart of genuine change on this platform
