I just updated my app on Android from one that was released on the 12th, and my forums now opens in my Firefox browser instead of in-game. Does this occur for anyone else? I'm not sure how I like being totally switched out on the PIMD app now. :/
Especially now since it doesn't 'remember' the preferences I set and I still can't manually log-in from a browser using email and password! It reopens a new tab every single time I click forums. 😠RIP my beautiful organized browser tabs...
I have just checked if I have any new updates for pimd, but there wasn't any, so it probably automatically updated without my knowledge. But, I don't have your problem; forums still open in-game for me. Is it perhaps your phone? I have an Android, specifically the Moto G Play. Not sure if that helps any.
I jad a random glitch the other week where i tapped to open a thread and it opened a tab on chrome. Only happened once. My game is up to date
Honestly, forums is the only "broken" thing. There are other good things about this update -- I love the new load-in screen and it also brings box probability transparency into the update (iOS users have had this for a month or two iirc). Since 2019?! ðŸ˜
I don't have the new update yet, but I'm not a fan of the forums opening in an external browser... I hope it doesn't cause complications accessing/using them moving forward. I much prefer staying in app and using the forums over discord. I do like the box probabilities being transparent finally!
FEBRUARY 2026 _UPDATE NOTE For IOS DEVICES USERS : Since June 2023 the Forum launches in an external window on the Web/ Internet browser. QL (quick link) are not supported meaning when you tap on it you are not redirected to the game user profile. You must manually type in the club name in the search bar for the clubs or the IGN in the search bar for players. For ANDROID DEVICES USERS: Starting February 2026 if you have updated automatically/ manually your game. You may see a change. Yes, I also noticed that about clicking on someone's name in forums. That's... helpful. :/ Perhaps you can recommend for now they copy and paste the name from forums into the search bar in-game, because that's still a little easier than manually typing it all.
To do so, they need to tap on link to land on the profile and then you can proceed to copy-paste. I cannot recommend because some players who publish on the thread have set their settings of the forum. By disabling the ability to copy-paste or access their profile page (limiting the view)
I am so not looking forward to this. Thankfully my app hasn't updated yet, and now I don't even want it to. It's one of the things I really liked having an android. Staying in game to access forums. I've peeked at forums from an iOS device and absolutely hated it.
