Literally just opened forums to post this. I'm really hopeful this is just an issue they can quickly rectify instead of it being something that they intentionally did hoping the piling VIP notifications will annoy us into getting the pass to get rid of it.
The auto enrollment is nice but 250k drops for someone of my size (& mainly f2p) seems unrealistic and kinda insane.. unless I sit in an ec club ($$$), even then I doubt I'll complete it given the math I've read on other comments.
I think the same. They won't adjust or add an EC option to the purchase method because they'll need to refund everyone else who bought it already with real cash lol The people who also bought it already won't just take 200 ECs as refund for it when they already saved up the same amount of ECs to buy this damn pass. They're gonna wanna demand a cash refund. I've never felt ATA's greed as strong as this August 2025. I wonder what cash grab they'll pull on ATA day and Black Friday but I sure hope I won't be here for it anymore 😂
Yeah, I didn't completely mind forking over the $19.99 USD because I do feel like the rewards are worth it to me personally, but I definitely would've preferred to buy it with ECs especially since I had just enough saved up from other purchases made (such as the original VIP package return in Molly's Deals).
I see the VIP and free tasks in the extracurriculars have been moved to the top now. Y'all know some sleazy business tactics, ATA, and y'all are sneaky to use them.

i miss the old old version of story pass with different steps and routes you could take. back when it wasnt part of the exc section. it gave me an actual reason to level up pets/add friends/send gifts/upgrade furni etc. it was more engaging. going for t100 this hunt (for the first time), i pretty much finished the whole pass in a single day of flashing. boring🤷🏻♀️
Tbh, ATA WILL NEVER STOP trying to make a profit off of y'all, because y'all still sign up to send your cash, even while complaining about how much you don't like. Your comment makes me reminisce the Pomegranate pass. It was one of the best imo. Evolving avatars, tradeable misc, good story progression, nice rewards (that cerberus stat is just 🩷) and the time limit didn't pressure you in 90 days. I wish they could bring back that format. Everyone worked together to find out which step requires which actions needed, rewards, etc. Made us into an actual community. The recent story passes is just every man for himself lol

L Take ATA is not a non profit. Their developers aren't working to get the approval of random people. They didn't get the job to make random strangers happy. They're working to making money. Expecting them to not do sleezy stuff to make money is honestly... ignorant lol. The gaming companies you're referring to are either heavily subsidized by another company (which would end at some point), or are already in the process of trying to find ways to squeeze out more money because that's what every other company is doing. Hate when people make me defend companies smh. Fun fact: If you don't like something, you can simply not get it. E.g. I currently do not like the story pass, and don't have any reason to get it, so I did not get it.
