After reading everything, this is absolutely ridiculous. Sure, you made your "fix" and now some people will buy it, but this whole idea was a bad one to begin with. I'm so disappointed in these devs. Everything here is still ptw even if it's a little easier to achieve. As much as I love collecting avis and appreciate this game for the friends I've made, this event has really worsened my opinion on ATA as a whole. I'm not putting a single dime into this and I hope many others will do the same. Otherwise changes won't be made. I'm so disgusted.
Allowing black market players to continue to get stronger and stronger while buying bentos for cash and running bot clubs is ruining the game. Maybe focus on that instead of trying to force me to buy more avatars I really don’t need (since I have thousands). I have been diehard ATA for 14 years. Fool me once …..
I'm not even going to comment on the “sensational” comment, it's all been said. Although I'm afraid I have to agree with the suspicion that without this comment we would have been ignored again. Soooooo. So many questions and so few answers. Again. I'll start, perhaps, right away with the most dangerous one in the current situation. What about those people who spent a lot of money and opened the boxes? Are you going to refund them? If yes - it was their choice, they knew what they did, plus many of them have already sold the extra shards and got bentos. If no - oops, big chance of money loss in the future, and people paid for YOUR mistake. Complicated, isn't it? Next. Event for a year, shard boxes are gone in 2 weeks. It amazes me every time smh. Any logic except quick cash here and now? Next. When are you going to be transparent enough to start saying the actual drop rate of items? Judging by the update, the box drop rate was super low? To summarise briefly - this is still the greediest event in a long time, and it's definitely not meant for most players. After a good encouraging event for the whole campus, it's a great spit in the face for the majority of players, but it allows us to be sober about what you care about, ty. Ngl, you should have just put a price tag next to 110/110 avi, a price tag that reflects your "needs". At least that would have been honest.
I still don't get it. You need atleast 1 avi of any tier, right? Then the quest/drops for furni box will auto start?
I understand that this makes things better for everyone in general, but it really kinda it shitty for the people that opened boxes to get all the avis and the quest for furniture, prior to this announcement.
So are the boxes still only dropping from parties till change over tmr 🥸 why didn’t u extend that too
thank you for the update on this rollout. i still stand by what i said in the previous post. this is absolutely diabolical. it's absolutely disgusting the amount of random lucky boxes and shard boxes have become. how COMMON they've become. let's discuss how there needs to be more content for those not spending irl money. why couldn't this event have been something based off player activity? drops from parties buy avis and boxes from the shop. with a year-long window, that would be ✨️sublime✨️ for active players and most casual players. do we really need more shards in shop right now???? we understand the game costs money. but holy shit... why are invites so frequent now? these used to be around the holidays (correct me if i'm wrong). we could plan for promos, now we can't even plan for the next hunt. i don't know what hunt it was, but cookie mania bundles on web store??? ranged from $250 to $999 USD+??? no special occasion, no holiday/special date, no monumental game milestone reached... just... another Tuesday for y'all... lastly... i can see it now... future gold crown lb shop... 120/120 avis for 110 gold crowns... y'all are going to make something to accommodate lb players so they don't feel slighted by others getting a same stat avi they worked their ass off to get. when will it end? 💀 please start catering to players who do not spend monetarily on your game. loyalty logins? (changeover/calendar based rewards for player login/party activity/game engagement time) please, stop taking away exclusives stat rewards to those who earned rewards through time and dedication for those willing to line your pockets. i cannot believe i have to ask for that. thank you for your time.
I appreciate the adjustments made to the event and I echo others' sentiments that it still seems a little excessive. Having previously established 110/110 as something exclusive to routine leaderboard players via crowns, I do think it is a bit surprising to turn around and offer the same stats for something that (while still expensive) is siginificantly less expensive (and presumably ti.e consuming) than going for hunt leaderboards. I can only assume that this release will be followed by new leaderboard crown avatars at 115/115 (or more preferably an increase in the current available LB crown avatars). Additionally, I personally believe Marcie has learned her lesson and is sorry for the hurt she caused, and I look forward to seeing continued efforts made to repair the relationship between devs and players. I also really encourage the devs to take into note the great care and thought process behind the feedback they've been receiving lately as to shard avatars in general, the increased amount of invite hunts, and all other problems raised particularly in the last few months that can be viewed in almost any announcement thread.
I just want to say that 7 avis were insane as a precursor to the furni story, you've dropped it down to 3 now... which yeah, that's better than 7. But ignore the whole post about needing 7, I feel like if they started with needing 3 avis to start a story that's still absolutely outrageous? Starting with double the amount and dropping it down makes it easier to swallow how crazy needing 3 avis is.
Let me make sure I’m getting this correct. You, a regular spender and probably LB participant, are asking for compensation for spending a Ludacris amount on shards for a story pass? Yeah, no. You nor anyone else who was a first buyer deserve compensation. You saw the comments. You saw the reaction to said comments. You should’ve known something might change due to the backlash. Your money is wasted through your own stupidity of supporting such a major cash grab and I don’t feel sorry for you or anyone else. Maybe, next time, think before you charge that card🩷

I think most things have been said already and I agree with most of the criticism. That's why I won't dive further into that part of the topic. Shard boxes in general seem to (besides being released way too often) rarely drop over the 800 minimum amount of shards anymore. Did the drop rates decrease? If so is there any other reason behind that than making people having to spend more ecs on opening boxes? I saw there are some equations on how much ecs have to be spend in the best case scenario, but let's be real here. That number is far from the truth. The higher the tier of the avi, the lower the drop rate. I know someone who opened over 20 boxes to get the VIP+ avi. 20x149ecs=2980ecs Meaning the true number is closer to 3000 ecs (or even more) that need to be spend if someone would want that avi only by opening boxes alone. That said: There should definitely be the option for a refund in some way for those who only opened the boxes to get all 7 avis. I saw some people saying some not so nice things about or towards high spenders in context of this new event and that they shouldn't get a refund because they "should've known better" or that it's "their own fault". Those comments are highly unfair in my opinion. Firstly, believe it or not, not everyone reads comments on forums. I actually dare to say that most PIMD players don't even open forums all that much and accusing the high spenders of having known about the backlash just because you're someone who does check up on stuff in forum? Yeah, no ty. Secondly, I understand that us people, who aren't that well off, sometimes have the tendency to look down on those who have a better income out of envy, but that doesn't mean it's a rightfully placed anger (Which should be directed at ATA for even making this event the way it was/is). But let's be honest: If we all had the option to spend that much money on a game, just because we can, many of us would do that ourselves without giving it much of a second thought. Everyone is entitled to spend their own money how they seem it fit (But in case of a real game/spending addiction pls consider getting help from family/friends or local authorities. You have worth beyond what you're capable of seeing right now♥︎) The least ATA should do here is to give the people, who only opened a lot of boxes to meet the criteria to start the story quest, the option to refund their purchased avis back into the amount of shards they needed to get them. That doesn't change the money they spent, but at least it won't be a complete loss, as they can earn some bentos from selling the shards they would get from the refund. And lastly, a bit out of context, but still important, I just want to mention a very valid point that someone from my club has made: "I think if they do 4 shard tiers/avis they should increase the amount to a minimum of 1k so then you have an “equal” chance of getting each one"
