You're using High School Hero shutting down as a reason why limited PvP "doesn't work"—but that argument falls apart with even a little context.

The game didn’t shut down because of its PvP system. It was discontinued after its developer, Pixelberry Studios, was acquired by Nexon and chose to shift all focus to their newer, more profitable game: Choices. Support and updates for High School Story and Hollywood U stopped years before the servers went offline. It was a business decision, not a design failure.

So using that shutdown to argue against limited PvP is not only inaccurate—it’s just lazy. The PvP mechanic had nothing to do with why the game was pulled.

Meanwhile, PIMD is still running, sure—but not because of open PvP. If anything, it survives in spite of it. Most of the revenue comes from cosmetics, parties, avatars, furniture, and social features. PvP is a niche that most players avoid unless they’re forced into it.

So if you're going to argue against limited PvP, at least base it on solid reasoning—not a misrepresented shutdown that had nothing to do with PvP mechanics in the first place.

 

Also, let’s not forget—you said you’re already farming someone bigger than you. Cool, respect where it’s due.

But that makes it even more ridiculous that you won’t farm SmurfBerryCrunch—someone smaller than you and the exact person this whole conversation started about. They're actively bullying low-stats for no reason… and you're out here defending the system that lets it happen instead of doing something about it?

You’ve got the stats. You’ve got the mindset. But you’d rather talk in circles than hit someone who's actually abusing PvP—and clearly fits your own “PvP should be allowed” criteria.

So which is it? You about that PvP life, or just here to defend people picking on weaker players while avoiding the actual problem?

Funny how this “poor player who got stripped” is being used as some kind of martyr — but let’s not leave out the full story.

They engaged first, didn’t they? Hired a tutor already in a chain, got stripped for it, then—instead of backing off—they even said they were going to do it again.

That’s not someone getting bullied — that’s someone picking a fight and then playing victim when it didn’t go their way. Actions have consequences, especially in a game where tutor ownership is tied to strategy and stat leverage.

So let’s not act like I just randomly targeted someone out of nowhere. The player made a move, got hit back, then tried to stir drama when it didn't work out. If they quit over that, that's on them—not the game mechanics or the person who responded after being provoked.

The reality is: people don’t avoid PvP because they’re scared—they avoid it because of what it’s become. It’s not competitive anymore. It’s toxic, personal, and exhausting.

Players will drag SFWs on for months or even years over things as small as tutor hires or petty arguments. And worse—people are pressured to drop stats, give up tutors, or hand over valuable event items just to end it. Sure, ATA doesn’t allow demands for EC or premium currency—but let’s not pretend that getting pushed to surrender leaderboard or hunt items is somehow better. It’s still coercion—just with a technicality.

This isn’t PvP as a game mechanic. It’s gatekeeping. It's "submit or suffer"—and that’s exactly why most players avoid it. Not because they don’t want to fight, but because they don’t want to get dragged into months-long ego wars where peace only comes at the cost of their progress.

PvP isn’t dying because ATA changed. PvP is dying because you made it miserable.

You admit it’s not bullying, but still try to build an entire argument on pretending I think it is, just so you can throw the word “hypocrite” around. You literally had to twist my stance into something I didn’t say just to feel like you landed a point. That’s not clever—it’s just reaching.

And let’s be honest: the player you’re defending? They hired first. Then they got stripped. And instead of backing off, they said they were going to hire again. That’s not someone being unfairly targeted—that’s someone openly asking for round two. Don’t act shocked when they got exactly what they asked for.

Meanwhile, the real issue—SmurfBerryCrunch—is out here snatching tutors unprovoked, lying and saying they’re hers, mocking people when called out, and dragging others into it just to stir the pot. But I don’t hear you calling that out. Curious.

You can write as many paragraphs as you want about “reevaluating,” but if you agree what I did isn’t bullying, then you also know it’s not hypocrisy. You just didn’t like that I responded. That’s not a moral stance—it’s selective outrage wrapped in projection.
