I used to get 2-3 of them just cause they looked cute even if I wouldn’t wear them much. I don’t think Im gonna get any this year sadly. Avatar coins are not as accessible.
They’re not. Please read how other people have reacted to the change. You seem to be unaware. This format isn’t accessible to ftp players or people who already pay for ec here. If you don’t get it then just move along.
All I saw was how happy people were after being celebrated, how the devs tried to lower down the prices of monthly avatars so everyone can buy. If u are ftp then stick to that and just don't spend at all instead of looking for a deal on something that's already heavily discounted. Also, stop getting angry over little things, move along, and dance 💃🏻👯♂️🕺🏻

For those in the back who have ignored commentary on the changes to Pride month, the 5 ec avis were accessible. People could pay directly for ec, earn them on the wheel, or watch videos to earn enough to buy their favorites. Getting ec is also cheap at 20 for $1.99, but you can get them by watching videos or completing other free options, too. At 5-10 ec for base avis, everyone wins. Further, VIP versions still remain popular and a feasible option for avi coins. 5 avi coins for the cheapest options may seem comparable but let me break it down. 1. They only drop randomly from monthly boxes which may drop from the spinner or cost 10 xc coins. This is far less likely to happen than winning 1 ec on the spinner. 2. You can’t buy coins with ec. Instead, they released boxes, which only feeds an already inflated player-resell market. 3. The lowest listed price for avi coins is 7 for $4.99, so not only is it pricier than the alternative, you can only get one of the base avis. One 5 ec avi costs the player roughly $0.50 with a fairly easy method of getting it for free. One avi that costs 5 avi coins will cost the equivalent of $3.50 and is much harder to acquire without paying. Pride is supposed to be inclusive of all players but apparently ATA sees it as an opportunity for rainbow tax now.
I also found out that people are charging upwards of 15 bentos for the 13 coin box avi, even when it’s available for xc. I was quoted 75 bentos for Love in Translation. That’s insane.
