Tutor Bonus (TB) plays a complex role in PIMD's matchmaking system, affecting both pseudo buckets and actual matchmaking buckets. However, for farmers, TB can be a double-edged sword.

The increase ratio of matchmaking bucket to pseudo bucket is significantly larger when gaining new TB compared to increasing profile stats.

This makes TB the worst enemy for farmers unless you are LCBC and find it hard to max misc.

For LCBC players, TB can be strategically beneficial if manipulated correctly, but it requires constant adjustments to maintain 1% cash loss efficiency.


How TB Affects Buckets and Misc

TB alone is calculated in both pseudo buckets and matchmaking buckets.

Since only max misc capacity is considered in matchmaking, TB manipulation becomes tricky.

TB increases max misc capacity by 4x, meaning it raises the threshold required to max misc effectively.

The ideal goal is to maximize the pseudo bucket/matchmaking bucket ratio.


Many players over 600Mcs are 1% with just 50-70Bcs misc, even when their misc caps might be much higher, because they have learned how to maneuver their TB to place themselves at the top of pseudo bucket. They can lower or increase misc as well, but why weaken themselves by lowering misc if they can afford TB?

LCBC players can manipulate TB instead of maxing misc to place themselves in a higher pseudo bucket to trigger 1%. However, the amount of TB required to shift pseudo buckets increases drastically as bucket levels rise. Since most LCBC players have 20Bcs+ misc but rarely 20Bcs TB, it's far easier to work with misc than to rely on TB. If you are already LCBC, escaping the hit range of another LCBC player is nearly impossible since the bucket is so wide—even if you gain 50Bcs TB, you’ll still remain in hit range. This makes TB a superpower for LCBC players who can afford it.

Is TB Useless for Farming? No, But It’s Situational
