I used to be drawn to things that sting, Desperate for the honey, A buzzing bee. Till I realised the honey would never be as sweet As long as I loved that drip of honey More than me -raquel franco
I feel like doing a poem after my initial post. Waking up Ughh my brain needs a workup In the kitchen fumbling My mind is fogging Need my morning concoction Freshly made coffee keeps me in motion Dear bees you'd better not extinct And keep pollinating following ur instinct 🌼🐝・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・✦ʚɞ
Aliens abducted all the bees. They violated the extra terrestrial treaties Earth's food production was dwindling. World hunger was alarming. Humanity was paralysed We were in the brink of apocalypse I was gasping for fresh air Sweats drenched my body and hair That was the weirdest dream granted Never again take bees for granted
For the contest, I’ve written 2 haikus. The first one is actually a set of 3 combined into one poem. Please enjoy! Seasonal Transition As warmth overtakes The chill of winter undone A new season nears Bugs of yellow, black adorn the vivid flowers Pollen in their wake Buzzing in the yard Flowers blossoming from buds Life begins anew — An Ideal Spring Morning Coffee at sunrise Seated under the oak tree A buzz in the air
A quote about bees that has always stuck with me is the following: "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man." - Albert Einstein Bees truly ensure that the circle of life continues! Although humans can pollinate plants by hand, we are nowhere near as efficient or successful as the bees. #SaveTheBees means you are saving the life we have on Earth as we know it!
