  1. So, there has been a very very interesting scam technique going on lately. Have you ever come across someone with newbie alts every single day, claiming they would provide you $400 or $500 twice a week to just talk to you and no bank information needed, etc, etc? You might think - "Oh, wait, I am getting free money and there's no way they can access my money without my bank info, so let's do this". Annnndddd you just fell right into their trap!

But wait.. How is this a trap? I am not giving them any info. What's actually going on?

Are these bots? Nope, they are not bots. They are real people trying to scam out of you!

I myself took the privilege to actually go through this entire process with one of their accounts, ofc I was gonna give everything about me as a fake info to them. So this is what happens.

They always want to check if you are from the US/Canada. If you aren't, congrats, they 99% wouldn't respond to you anymore, as they don't have any benefit off you. You are saved already.

Now if you are from the US/Canada.. they specifically try to check if you are lying, to ask you which bank do you use and which city are you from. When you tell them this info and they find you are legit. Now they start getting into action.

They tell you that they are from a very rich background, they own multiple companies and even tell you that they would offer a high paying job and relocate you to another city where one of their companies are. (They said they would relocate me to Halifax for a better job). All they want is honesty, truthfulness and trust on them from yourself. They try to get what your weakness and what you are suffering with (ofc, most people suffer with lack of money/money issues).

Now, they tell you a story about their main helper or secretary was supposed to deliver a cheque to an orphanage, etc.. But unfortunately, he has fallen sick or on a vacation or something and he isn't able to help post the cheque into the orphanage and that the orphanage is very urgently needing the money to provide food and clothes for the children living there. We all tend to feel very sad about the orphanage and show empathy very very quickly than usual. We trust in the orphanage issues quicker than usual. And they manipulate you into making you trust that you are the only one who could help them right now. Then they ask for your instagram id or Snapchat id to talk more on this issues and telling you to trust in them. So you'd trust them and give them your id, to know more details on this.

Now is the time, they start to scam you. They try to scam you in 2 different ways. The first way is to scam you, the second way is to scam your friends.

    First way:
After you both get in touch with them on snapchat/insta, (you could always notice that there would be barely 4 or 5 pics of them, mostly looking like models in a beach or something). They tell you that they will write a cheque to you, asking your full name, location and your email id linked to your bank account, so that they could send the cheque to your email id. Then they prepare a fake cheque under your name and id info that you gave them and put up, say they want you to put in $1500 to the orphanage and you can have $500 for the week. They create a $2000 cheque and send you online. When this happens, they tell you to deposit the cheque to your bank account and send $1500 to another bank account info that they give you as the "bank account of someone from the orphanage". Now that you deposited the $2000 cheque to your account, the banks in Canada/USA do not immediately check if the cheque is legit on not, they just process the cheque immediately and add the money to your bank account. You would think that you received their money and it was legit, then you proceed to send the $1500 to that account and keep the $500 for yourself thinking you gained $500 from this. Now comes the scam. A couple of days later, the cheque you deposited, goes through various fraud checks and get bounced because its a fake. Therefore, the $2000 that you received gets deducted from your account, thereby you get scammed off the $1500 you sent to that orphanage account, which actually is the scammer's second account.

    Second way :
They tell you that they would need your insta id or snapchat id details (username or password) to which they would link their credit card info and they will need the id details for the authorisation purposes. So when you given them your account details, they immediately change your email id and password of the account you gave them, so that you cannot retrieve the account. Now they text all your friends in those insta/snapchat accounts pretending to be you and since your friends trust in you and know that you wouldn't scam them, they would repeat the process happened in the "First way" to your friends and scam their money off them and your friends will label you as the scammer without knowing anything that happened.

So please, beware of these Sugarmomma scammers out there. No one gives you any money for free, let alone $400-500. If its waaayyyyy too good, then it mostly isn't true. Do not fall for their traps. I just wanted to provide the complete structure of this scam, so that people will not fall for this anymore.

Hope this helps to atleast a few people out there.

Thank you, take care and stay safe.
