There is no such thing as a PIMD official rule against farming. It is a social rule. The only rule that should be enforced is harassment & profanity: if your actions are deemed to be harassment, you'll be asked to stop (mod), explain (mod) or simply punished (dev). This is a player vs player, club vs club social game. Interactions via walls and attacks are expected and should be considered NORMAL game play. Farming is seen as attacking someone over 3-5 times per day. How to farm? You make sure you find someone who does not play often. Make sure they are weaker then you and then you attack them 3-4 times as often as you can. For example: I attack xxx player then I regen to full. Then I come back to the well for more gold. Why should you farm? Farming feeds America. There is a real need to make sure that everyone can feed themselves without using volley or plunder wars If you are not in a club that has ways to make cash: farm! What happens if someone strong attacks me? Buy alot of pots Negotiate - be polite. Get a strong friend to negotiate Keep yourself at 0 stats by doing jobs How do I defeat someone stronger and farm them? You need to stockpile your doctor notes. When someone defeats you/losses to you, you lose less troops then they do. The normal person will full unload on you, making themselves weak Perfect! Watch for that, attack them back using attack pots. Keep them down! Always return fire 5-7 hits. You don't want to make yourself too weak. How do I deal with defense pots? Attack until there are no more pots. Farming is about making money. Revenge is about destroying their gold. Burning pots is the same as stripping. Your destroying their gold. Anyone who doesnt have def pots deserves to be hit. What's the best way to not get farmed? Be active, have a build of 60% focus on str. The majority of players are str focus. So you need to make sure you look hard to beat to them. Having a 50/50 build means your worth alot of cash! However would get focused on by either a dance or str focus player. Have alot of allies to give you the best bonus. You will need them to stop the normal crowd. Finally: login often. Returning attacks immediately is the best deterrent.
What's the way to pick a target? Go to battle, then pick someone on battle. Go to their club, and pic someone weaker in that club. Check their wall, any recent posts? Any tutors? What's their stats compared to yours? If you have 100k combined stats, you can farm someone as weak as 60-70k CS Attack them and see how many pots they have. If no pots your good. You can also check their win/loss ratio to see if they lose alot. Ie: not playing alot or already farmed or don't know how to play, or always leaking during a war: not online often
How many def pots should I really have? Def pots cost cash, if you lose more money per hit then the full pots cost, your ok. If you never have gold out, the def pots are a deterrent. Pots sets limit ppl from full unloading or gang hitting. They are usefull to make your attacker lose and therefore more quickly weaker then you: so you can revenge hit. If your not online, pots just cost you money. So my rule is: if your rich, buy alot of def pots. If you have less then 40k CS you dont need more then 1-4/5 set. Buy alot of them. If you really want to think about it, instead of buying def...use the cash to buy sets of attack. So that when you ARE online and attacking, every hit is a win and you offset their def pots The more overwhelming your str is, the less troops you lose.(to a min) So if you don't think def pots are useful, buy and use attack pots. Everyone has gold out to volley, so each successful hit is incredibly damaging to them!

Should you join a farming club? No, farming clubs get targeted and you could be attacked because of someone else. There isn't always safety in numbers. It's also harder to negotiate if your in a farmer club. Why should I erase my wall? If you don't want ppl to know you farm? Erase all the complaints quickly. Don't let the popo see the evidence.
When do you move on? You should move on when you stop making good money or they are taking it really well. A player who doesnt whine really deserves some respect. So find another farming target after you have made what you think is a fair amount. Personally farming could be weeks of attacks or just a day. Your the boss! Drive that tractor and decide!
If it's not against ToU, why did I get silenced for farming???? I contacted ATA and they explained to me that I made the game unenjoyable for that player, which is against ToU. And because that player contacted them and said that I farmed him 1000x over a one week period that it was harassment. Therefore I was silenced.
