Threads get made on trading avatars like clockwork every month, and ATA’s response is always “No”. The usual rationale given is that avatars are coded differently from other inventory items and would require a complete rework of the game to make them tradable, but the more likely reason is that it would reduce their exclusivity, which reduces the incentive to spend on them. As already mentioned, trading with ECs and DNs is highly abusable and probably won’t ever be implemented again. You can still indirectly convert ECs to 🍱s by selling EC priced things on the open market, though you could get cheated on things like party drops and gifts, which you can’t directly trade.
