The Annoying Comments of COVID-19

  1. I understand where you're coming from

  2. I know it's not exactly "deadly" and than many people are overhypying it. I stated Covid-19 has less deaths and cases than the common flu and many other viruses.

The whole world is probably showing grotesque signs of racism towards China since the disease was intentionally given to man in Wuhan.

  3. You have a video of my lips moving saying something discriminatory towards Latinos? No?

Anyways, please take your negativity and slander elsewhere.

  4. No but I have posted screenshots of you doing so and you had the thread locked to prevent me from further calling out your discrimination just like you're trying to do now.

All I'm saying is, don't be a hypocrite my dude. Man up and admit your mistakes.

  5. What you did was slander. I asked for the thread to be locked, because you were embarrassing yourself. You don't know me.

All I'm stating is, keep it positive and on topic.

  6. I know people who are working incessantly in a field hospital recently built in New York (solely because of this virus), and most are begging people to respect lockdown and stop undermining the situation. These people are in the front lines, daily watching patients die and seeing what the virus does. I think we should listen to them.

I believe the best course of action would be: stay in lock down for a while, at least until things get better, and try to adapt with careful steps. Go back to work but strictly following rules of hygiene and distance from others, still no crowds allowed. And slowly transition back to "normal" as more effective treatments are found, and then finally the vaccine. Yes, it is a slow process but it's better than opening everything at once and then having to retreat and suddenly close things all over again because people are dying. The US reached an insane point simply because people refused to stay home. (For countries that have a smaller amount of cases, maybe they could already be adapting and return to their activities while following recommendations to lower the chances of contagion.)

I can't agree with the opinion that we should end lock downs since some people "would die anyway" just because they are at a higher risk. Letting people die because some others don't want to stay (safe) inside their houses for a while sounds absurd to me.

  7. You should try digging deeper mate. The racism prevalent in China against westerners is much higher atm

  8. Really? That's sad

  9. To be completely honest with you, we shouldn't end the lock down. Promiscuous and filthy people will only spread the virus more not to mention kids live to touch everything. I agree that it should all stay locked down.

I highly disagree with the thought process of the governor of Georgia. He opened things up too soon and whatever happens is solely his fault.

However, not everyone thinks rationally. They think hair salons and going to the beach and prom are "essential." I can't say I'm going to miss those types of people.

  10. I condemn complete lock down. Seal the hot spots yes. Maintain social distancing in other zones yes. Prohibit travel to and from hot spots yes. Ramp up the health care capacity yes. Lock down the elderly yes.

But complete shut down? FÜCK NO.

In U.S, the unemployment rate we are gonna witness is unprecedented. In India, the poor and daily wage workers are gonna die from hunger. Over a hundred have already died. Italy is on the verge of bankruptcy. If the lock down continues we will soon be in the greatest economic depression. We are witnessing deflation ATM, which will soon be followed by hyperinflation. You have no clue how horrid that will be, do you? When that happens, covid will look like a little baby

  11. In correlation to problems such as the lack of money, I will never comprehend. All of us are different people and I'm one of those people who actually get it how I live it.

I do agree that the lack of income for others is bad. Find a hustle. Do something productive. Do what you need to to survive or don't.

OnlyFans is poppin rn. These females making bank off unemployed men who somehow still have the funds to spend all that money.

PornHub content creators are doing the same shit.

I don't believe in complete shutdown either, but nail and hair salons aren't essential. It's not safe to open up too soon. I personally think, healthcare should be free seeing as many countries have free healthcare... but it costs to live in the US and it's free to die.

In any case, jobs are still hiring and giving people who never stood a chance opportunities

  12. The conspiracy theories about Covid-19 remind me of the ones about something I've suffered from for 14 years now, Lyme disease. For those of you who don't know, Lyme disease is a persistent bacterial infection carried by ticks. The CDC estimates that around 300,000 people in the US become infected each year. If treated early, the prognosis is well, but the symptoms are often misdiagnosed or overlooked, and late infections can cause arthritis, cardiac, and neurological damage. It is also a very controversial disease to treat, which is a long story and political, so I won't get into it. The last doctor who openly treated Lyme disease in my state had his clinic shuttered by authorities last year.

The disease gets its name from where it was discovered: Lyme, Connecticut. In the 1970's boys in the area started displaying symptoms of what they first thought was juvenile arthritis. There is an island off of the coast of New York called Plum Island, which is home to the Plum Island Animal Disease Center. This lab studies many highly contagious and dangerous diseases, hence why it's on an island, so it is less likely leaks will affect the US mainland. There's well documented cases of leaks occuring at this lab, the last major one occuring in 2004, and prompting investigation by the Department of Homeland Security. And for you Clinton haters, Hillary Clinton was involved in the investigation when she was a Senator in New York.

So that last point leads me to the story. At the start of the Cold War, the lab studied biological weapons that could be targeted at livestock. They also studied the use of infected ticks as potential biological weapons. The idea is that Lyme disease was developed in the lab with the plan to drop the infected ticks over Cuba. The ticks may have been succesfully developed and dropped on the Cubans, then made their way back to the US. The more popular story is that the lab is notorious for being relaxed with the rules, and many diseases carried by vectors like Lyme disease, Zika Virus, and West Nile Virus have leaked from the lab. There was an extensive program at the lab to make anti-animal bioweapons, which was ended by President Nixon in 1969. Back to Lyme disease, a worker either inadvertently carried infected ticks on his clothing back to the mainland, or their laxed security and protocols allowed ticks to escape from the lab, and hitch a ride on birds, racoons, rats, etc back to the mainland. Does any of this sound familiar to the theories surrounding the lab in Wuhan, China?

The Cold War has been over for nearly 30 years, but communism is still a very dirty word here in the United States. I personally think that having more centralized government control and a planned economy would help curtail pandemics like the one we're in currently. If you don't agree with my politics, you can tap my newsfeed for pirate points. I'm sorry that you are the target of racism and hate right now. Personally, putting things in a broader perspective help me answer some of the "why's" and to me, the Cold War sentiments haven't ended. I also have shouted at my tv and my car radio when NPR is on, "that's what they do to Lyme disease patients!", when they're talking about Covid-19 experiments more times than I can count. For intelligent people to accept conspiracy theories, they have to be at least half true. I'm not a person who will say things like, "oh put your tin foil hat back on", when someone is making a wild claim. Except the 5G theory to me is pretty hilariously ridiculous, my dad learned to build radios components in the Navy, and there is just no way that 5G can carry a virus, so stop burning those towers. One day, this too will be over, and leave plenty of material to make some fun thriller movies.

If you made it this far in my post, thanks. I know many of my posts can quickly become essay length. I'd like to remind you that I charge $20/hour to write your homework essays, $30/hour if you want A+ material (just kidding). Be kind to each other, don't discriminate, wash your hands, and stay safe lovelies! πŸ™ƒπŸ’•

  13. Thanks, now I have to go read more about lyme disease! πŸ’™

  14. Netflix has 2 docu series
    Afflicted
    Diagnosis
Both have some pretty wild shit on there, and I believe there are at least two people with Lymes on the afflicted one

  16. Ok, but like on the whole eating exotic creatures being a cultural thing that's not true at all, a lot of my extended family lives all around China and Hong Kong and have never eaten exotic animals. Exotic animals such as bats, jackals etc. like in most countries, are eaten by the rich. Not knowing how to cook properly is also not a "cultural thing" at least not in China. Yeah I'm sure there's uneducated folk, but that goes for everywhere. Everyone I've known knows to cook and prepare meat properly. While yes there definitely are "cultural blindspots" to traditional Chinese culture, but I promise you cooking things properly isn't one of them. What is/was a problem was wet markets (which thankfully have been shut down), is colorism, filial piety and so much more. Sorry it I sound super defensive, stuff like this riles me up.

  17. I don't think anyone was saying not knowing how to cook was a cultural thing. It's more like a statement of the general earth population. Do you know or know someone who knows how to cook a bat so that it's safe to eat?

  18. What is your definition of culture?

There is a culture in positions of very high power where people do things with underage girls under the auspice of fellow highly-influential rich people to increase trust and allow the other person to have dirt on you and to be able to crush you and your career if that trust is broken.

Your average Joe probably won't do that. They don't need anyone's trust that badly! But it is a part of a culture.

  19. Coronavirus was created in a lab. But since we're talking about bats please enjoy:

  20. Ah okay, I must've totally misinterpreted what you said because honestly I thought you were just trying to lowkey bash Chinese culture/your interpretation of Chinese culture by implying that Chinese people are inferior and don't know how to cook and saying "many cultures" so you don't have to point out a specific one and be deemed racist lmao. Going off on what Wednesday said above, as I said before literally no one I know has eaten/knows how to eat bats? But I'm sure those that are consuming bats, and the hella rich people who are buying bats off the wet market and black market know? There are black market chefs who are hired just to cook exotic foods so rich mofos can "get the most" out of their goods. Idk it just seems kinda odd to me to assume that there aren't ways to cook and eat exotic foods "properly".
