Asdfgsaksncjsk I’m just so sad, and so unimpressed You guys really had a chance to make things right, and instead, you buckled down, defended yourselves, and belittled us. I could honestly cry. I really thought you guys would fix it if we told you what we thought. #nomoneymarch
Bumping this edit to the original post in this thread Marcie mentioned, as I and others did gloss over it:
We appreciate your reply, and while a lot of people’s replies may seem ‘childish and bitter’ I know I can’t speak for everyone that has commented on the thread, but I believe the majority of it is people have had enough at this point. I understand wanting to change the game up and add new things, I personally am all for that as long as it’s fair to players! But when the majority of the recent changes are behind a pay wall and make it harder for players to obtain things it’s gotten people riled up. I also saw your reply in the hunt thread about recent changes but people are wanting an explanation for this particular change as it’s not really related to the other concerns that were brought up Thanks for taking the time to interact with us though, hopefully changes everyone can enjoy will happen soon 😊
Its the most bullshit thing to do to just go ahead and make us seem “bitter” and “childish” for the fact that we can no longer play this game without draining our hard earned money, I think ANYONE and I absolutely mean ANYONE has the right to be upset at the demands that your greedy company has set upon a once stable game, I am deeply disappointed at the fact that this game has turned to absolute garbage, it is unplayable as the only thing we could do is get avis, and your only excuse is to set us off as childish when YOU are charging us 60 dollars an avi, dropping the chances to get a free avi from boxes, thinking we have the time and energy to be on this game 24/7 to get 16k drops for other avis, killing the only way to earn free avis (timer boxes) without having to do much. Nope, sorry, this is not ending with us seen as “childish” just because you want an extra paycheck #nomoneymarch
So my take at this point: no changes are going to be made immediately to current hunt and current monthly theme, but they are open to constructive criticism and will implement any changes/adjustments moving forward. Ergo, next hunt and next monthly theme. This is suitable for me personally (while it is a bit disappointing to have to take a monetarily responsible hard pass on this month's avis), and I'll be open to sharing my continued thoughts and feedback as they come in. As I said in another thread, change is sometimes a good thing, and this time it was a bit too drastic, and too fast. Hopefully ATA takes some of the better ideas the community brainstormed to the ATA HQ "drawing room." While Marcie's response may not please everyone, it is important to at least consider that she did make a statement at all. She didn't have to, regardless of how many people were demanding it, so we should at least be appreciative that there isn't radio silence from the devs.
For me, all these changes have been very discouraging and have made me wonder if it's really worth it to stick around. Initially, I created this alt to help out struggling clubs and new clubs, simply because I like to help. But upon trying to build the account, I noticed it got so much harder to grow and achieve things as a new player. The in-game economy is chaotic (offer and demand, I understand). And now players are being stripped of all the chances of getting avatars for free. I was waiting excitedly for the hunt I would be able to reach 6k on this account and grab my first pair of avatars. Now at 16k... Impossible, I can forget about it. You know, every new player has a goal to get rid of the starter avatar. And when they realize it is much harder than it should be, they will uninstall this game and go for another one. It's truly disappointing, because PIMD wasn't like this a couple years ago. It was much more fun to play knowing that we could actually get far with our hard work and effort. Now it's all about who has enough money to afford progressing. 😔
Fair enough, fair enough! And I appreciate those ones that have come through in a polite manner. Also re: your last point, y'all shouldn't dish it if you can't handle a bit of spice back from ATA 😉😉 But yes, we're all trying to play for the same team here: a game that everyone can truly enjoy and be excited about that us at ATA can continue to keep running for ages to come.
Most of us will expect spice when appropriate. Getting it when we are discussing serious concerns makes ATA seem so unprofessional it's unreal...
Just my opinion but I highly doubt this app will be around for “ages to come” if it keeps going down this path. 🤦🏽♀️
... is a fantastic example of what we're not going to respond to. I'm just Marcie the Messenger here folks; my job is to pass on the most helpful feedback to the designers who make the calls on what to do next. This sort of language comes off as bullying and nobody likes to give in to a bully's demands and is completely filtered by me. You're not wrong in that I was being condescending but I was doing so to the group of people making and hiding behind alts and then demanding things from us. Happy to engage with people when it's civil and constructive and when the pitchforks are nicely put away.
Do you get how that makes you just as bad as those people though? You can't really say much about their actions when you're doing the same thing..
Seeing as how Marcie liked this, I'm assuming I read correctly. Looking forward to seeing the adjustments that will be made! Hopefully they will be satisfactory for the general community so we can all move on and progress from this, and continue playing and enjoying PIMD for what it is and should be.
I understand the whole “dish it out” thing.. but many of us didn’t dish anything out. Myself and another player explained our medical situations and how this game was something we enjoy, but can’t be on and active the way we want. Many players expressed their enjoyment, love, etc. for the game and/or how they’ve been around for a long time. There are always going to be those who let anger take over, though some comments that were “childish” were in the right to be and expressed criticism with emotion, instead of flat comments. However, those “childish” comments don’t mean all of us should be met with harshness or insults. So, as I said, thank you for responding, it’s wonderful to know our comments are being heard, but those who run and moderate this app shouldn’t be targeting players simply because some of us got emotional.
I’m sure ATA had good intentions with the content they produced. It was the players that she is referring to that came off as rude and immature, so if anything, I’d say that she doesn’t necessarily owe it to them to be completely kind.
Couldn’t say it better myself! I’m excited to see what additions or changes they’ll make to better gameplay.
