Emily's POV Maybe I'd done it wrong. What if I lost a life? I called Kyle. "Hey, Kyle. Can I come over?" A blunt reply made its way to my ear. "Sure." "Um, bye, Greg." I said. "Gotta' go." Greg nodded, waved and went home. I got my car keys and drove to Kyle's house. ••• "Hi, Kyle." "Hi, Emily." "You wanted a fake date? I forgot when." "I wanted a real date. Today." "When?" "Right now." "But I'm not ready." It's like we were suspicious, or something. He didn't even invite me in. "You look fine." He said, and it didn't seem like he was lying. I laughed, and the mood calmed a bit. "Yeah, where are we going? Because I'm not going anywhere looking like..." I gestured to my every day school clothes, "This." "Well I'm going like this." Kyle grinned and brought me to his motorcycle. ••• "Keep your eyes closed." Kyle said. I walked, but Kyle wasn't leading me. I felt a gust of wind, and Kyle's arms pulled me back just in time. "That was a car." He whispered. I nodded, shivering. Kyle led me somewhere, and when he finally told me to open my eyes, we were at the waterfall again. The place I fell in love. "Remember this?" He asked softly, pulling me to the water. I nodded. "Remember how I used to like you?" He asked. I nodded, but stopped and froze. "You LIKED me?" I asked, surprised. Kyle scratched his head sheepishly. "Well..." I felt tears spring. "Then why would you make out with Cassandra? You betrayed me. You didn't know that I didn't like you. I loved you!" Kyle's eyes widened. "But I—" "And it means so much that you actually don't like Cassandra." I hugged him, surprising him so much that he fell in the water. He quickly held me, remembering I couldn't swim. And then, we were in that same position. Frozen in time. He gently pulled my face to his and kissed me. "I'm good at kissing for real, too." Kyle whispered. And my heart was sewn back together.
Wednesday "How is everything good again?" Kate asked. "You have ro tell me!" "No, Kate." I said, smiling. "It's so gross that you like that jerk." She muttered. I giggled. "Oh no!" She seemed genuinely worried. "You're lovesick! You're giggling!" I stopped. "Whatever." And continued to giggle. "Guess who?" I felt hands snake around my eyes and waist. "Um…" I said, sarcastically. "Kyle?" Kyle laughed and picked me up. "So how's my favorite girl doing?"
"She's doing very well." I said, eating my ice-cream. He leaned in for a kiss, but I just put some ice-cream into his mouth. "Even better." He teased. "Please do that somewhere else." Kate muttered. I laughed. "Let's go to the mall." ••• "So I was thinking this—" I said, holding a purple dress. "I'd like to see you wear this." Kyle said, pointing to a short pink dress that probably wouldn't even cover my butt. "Haha, very funny." Kyle chuckled and sat down. "How about this?" Kate asked me, pointing to a dark red, long dress. "Perfect!" I shrieked. "So, Kyle…What are we doing tomorrow?" "A fancy restaurant." He put his nose to mine. "For a special girl." "That girl already has a dress." I giggled. I couldn't wait.
