I broke down my opinion to each of the updates. Misc Max - I don’t like the cap, I think everyone gets the misc they deserve, if you’ve earned your misc through farming, you should be allowed to keep it, if you earned it other ways, that’s against ToU I believe, and should already be punish in a perfect world. BUT I can see why ATA believes it necessary, even if I don’t like it. The problem I have is that without farming often or buying misc I am already nearly at my max on intel, by just trading well and doing my best to optimize profits. How is that a good balance? Misc Rebalance - Ew. The problem with this is that it’s not hard to hit 2-3x bigger when you pay attention to various factors, but the raw CS is by far more important than your misc, it scales much faster with upgrades than by gaining misc with other methods. On top of that, with the rebalance, it can allow people who are getting hit to just trade misc to an alt to fall out of the range of the individuals hitting them. On top of this (x2), it’ll turn into a huge percent misc game now, as this doesn’t affect ranges at all. From here I talk about what I believe the consequences of both combined may be. It’s essentially just changing the meta of PvP into something else that you either have or don’t. The avis and time spent on the game would become even more important to PvP mechanics as they give percent misc while isn’t capped in any way. I can’t make myself play the game longer than someone else hitting me when they started earlier, and I can’t buy better avis than someone else, but I can actively work to grow my misc, which is something that should be done to counter the percent misc of people who play longer and have better avis. Also, hitting higher stats is going to be impossible, if I plan to hit someone larger than me I reach a cap on my misc faster than them, making it much harder to land. I believe the rebalance is a regression, making PvP on the game even more one-sided than before. However, I can see why something may need to be done, so here’s what I think on peace passes. Peace Pass - People always have the option to bank their cash or hide in tuts or other ways. If a peace is used I feel it should: 1. Not allow the user to party while active. 2. Cost a portion of the total amount of money they have in tuts and out to use, costing more than the bank, and scaling by the amount of time, capping at up to something far less ridiculous than 3 days, maybe 8 hours total. With, 3) a cooldown that is 2-3x longer than the use of the peace pass, with it getting continually more expensive the more it is used in succession. How much should it cost? Maybe 5ish%, so if I have 100b out and in tuts it costs 5b to use for a single hour and maybe 15% at the 8 hour mark. But wait, that’s less than the bank? Yes, but it will also account for the amount of money in tuts, making the peace pass more valuable to those in sfw, while stopping the spamming of the pass just to prevent some hits. In my opinion, this would make the peace pass more costly to use, lowering how often it’s used for just hits. But another solution could be this, and yeah, there’s faults with it (please feel free to add to or adjust portions of this), an ATA made CF option to stop hits, like an in-game contract where one person sets the misc paid, the other pays, and hits cannot continue. However, a typical CF is that whenever someone is RSed with or in a club with someone I’m farming, they break CF if they stay or refuse to break RS, and I cannot think of a way for the CF to be easily broken without the same abuse by farmers, unless it just gave a cooldown, for example: If someone CFs they cannot be hit by that person for a certain amount of time. Any ideas or suggestions? Or trash idea?
Your value of the misc meta is postmodern (on pimd) and degenerate. It should be eradicated. Tb mechanics are more interesting and engaging. And now gaining tb increases your misc usage effectively making tb as valuable in many cases as misc.
But a much more efficient and logical way would be at the very least to build misc off of total stats, not each individual stat as to me it seems that reaching max on one stat (for me it would obviously be intel) negates the desire to continue to increase my misc in any way. At the very least scaling it as a whole will make reaching max for single stat builds harder on the weaker stat.
The desire should now be to increase your tb to earn more misc. They effectively multiplied the benefits of tb by 5. Because for every cs of extra tb, you also get 4cs of misc.
Why would I want to heavily invest in tuts that would be stripped if I heavily take part in PvP? That was part of what I said in my post. I can invest as much as I want in tuts, but it’s not hard for some guy who’s 90mcs to solo a few cats, take my tuts, and then take all that cash. The addition of tuts to the misc changes thus further nerfs farmers.
Nah it helps them. Pimd's pvp system is meant to rely on Tutors. The S in SFW refers to the stripping of tutors to decrease your opponent's stats. You might want to ruin someone else's day by taking their tuts to get them to cf. Idk how you farm, but that's how it ought to go.
It still doesn’t allow me to easily hit above me, like I said, at the very least they should give the max to each stat. I like to dance too ?
? Putting a cap on misc doesn’t change the fact of stripping tutors? What are you talking about Kefo? Many still won’t be buying MORE in tuts and others will still be Stripping tutors. Putting a cap on misc is relevant to stripping tutors how?
Easily hitting above you = Others easily crushing people smaller than them. Ultimately both just mean a bigger cap and easier abuse of misc. It was always harder. It got too easy to do both of those with misc in an UNBALANCED way. More imabalance and powercreep = More people breaking the game = bad
It is relevant because for every 1cs of tb you acquire, you unlock 4cs of misc making tb potentually 5x more effective, if you have the mb for it.
Oh my god ? people cry over hits to much, PIMD is full of fairies. Everyone these days are a “Farmer”, So all CC clubs are SFW Friendly, Farm one and they break, not everyone can handle SFW. People who farm and obtain misc through CFs work harder for it than those who party. This is just another step closer for ata to remove the battle button and kiss the rear of those who fill their bank account. ?
"grinding for misc is so hard" You ever had to grind for tb without parties? Oh people don't party to gain misc? Only tb... That's a funny meme. A.t.a hear that? Remove those big, juicy, overpowered story rewards. If you want more money fron pvp, which is already better than parties, ask a.t.a to increase plunder from fights. It's better than parties especially if you hit larger targets... Farming for misc isn't the alternative to cat cafes.
you can still ask for items as cf obviously. And you ought to. They're valuable and nice. But the way they'll be won is by stripping properly and by keeping your tutors safe, the way it should be. Worried about cat cafe'ers ruining you? Your misc still counts for a lot, you can outstrip them if you get good, etc. A.t.a have only stopped you from abusing a broken and obviously unfair feature. Now you have to take some risks. Your wealth can be attacked in a bigger way than before. It isn't permanently safe. You have to be vigilant and learn to pimd. Welcome
Cool with all this up to the point of out stripping. Technique and know-how are essential, but if mans is broke... Mans is broke. Cat Cafe, however, pays pretty dang well with no risk, allowing one to save up some cash pretty fast.
Cat Cafe pays way better than PvP, the only benefit PvP gives is misc, which is now being nerfed. You can’t strip every single person multiple times without having to solo or do sessions or FCC, especially when you don’t party as much as them. It’s a push from PvP to partying, which gives ATA more income. I’m not bashing ATA for it, I just don’t like it.
It's broken.. Always has been since they introduced cat cafe. That is why we have always hated it. But it isn't as broken as the game ended up becoming.
This might push people to party more... The resurgence of pvp might have come from misc but it also brought spenders and successful noobs into the pvp world. I think a.t.a's next move is to make stripping for tutors somehow more beneficial than it used to be in order to keep blue farmers on side. Remember, though. That 20m base stats allows 1b misc... That's quite a bit. Numbers are just smaller than before. This is a nerf of misc but they didn't make it redundant... Far from it, it's still very useful for many players. And many players are yet to peak. Sell your items for rares or dvp from them
