  1. Hello guys,how's everyone?
As someone who has anxiety and depression overthinking is pretty much part of ny daily routine. As soon as something happens ( anything )i start to thibk about it and find reasons and causes and push myself in a freaking deep end of thoughts I can't escape from.
Now,my question is,are you an overthinker? And how do you cope with it?
    Have a fun day!

  2. I do overthink myself too. Then i add fireball to my thougths, explode everything, and some more fantasy with more effects.

  3. Sane dude. Right now I am keep overthinking the fact that I refused to work last night

  4. Not trying to convert anyone, you don't have to go to gatherings. But try Buddhist quotes/memes on whatever social platform you like.

  5. You sure it's the right thread? ?

  6. You made a good decision! No need to overthink about it. Working at night is bad for your health - its something you cant exchange for money.

  7. it's a sort of thing where you can't stop overthinking unless you're too tired to anymore or you literally fall asleep.

that was very tumblr, but very true.

overthinking and critical thinking are very different, i think people confuse that sometimes.

  8. I only work night shifts but yesterday morning I finished a shift and knowing it was my day off I was awake all day,I slept only one hour. And they called me 3 times and had to repeat myself saying I can't work after only 1h of sleep

  9. I agree with you but for myself it's proper overthinking. i ask myself if people hate me or are getting angry on me for not being able to do something. And if they get angry how can I sort it and I try to find solutions to things that never happened

  10. Buddhusm/mindfulness/meditation allows you to influence your brain down to a chemical level, through training.

The most immediate and perceptible rewards they bring is control over your thoughts. Awareness of them, and the ability to select what you think about.

In theory it should help you prevent overthinking, because the foundation of selecting what you think about, is learning to clear your mind, coming to terms with a blank slate.

It allows you to practice simply shifting your attention onto something mundane like your breath or immediate sensory inputs rather than the oft-rampant echo chamber of your mind.

~Results won't be immediate but it can help if you commit yourself~

  11. Thank you for the advice

  12. I need a brain to think, so no.

  13. You can have mine,i'm tired of what's on my mind

  14. ^ thanks for the example of overthinking
    V he explains it better

  15. Yes, anxiety meds and CCT.

  16. I have all of those and I'm pretty self-conscious as well. I used to have severe insomnia from it too. What helped was training myself to take things a day at a time. I found that looking too far into the future only amplified my anxiety. It's beyond our control after all.

Focusing on the immediate present gives you control and mindfulness. Taking up a hobby (physical exercise helps a lot) helps you lose yourself in the moment. Training your body in turn trains your mind.

  17. Recently I started to look into my hobbies and,tho my free time is limited,I feel more relaxed and I can control my emotions much better. I am self-conscious but since I met my boyfriend I became more relaxed with my body because he thought me to accept myself for who I am

  18. Usually when i don't want to think about anything i listen to music ,with my headphones on, really loudly, because of this i can't concentrate so there's no overthinking ??? Or just try to be as bussy as you can even if it means just tidying up a cupboard. These things usually helps me a lot:)

  19. To add to that, the basis of buddhist philosophy is that everything lies within, the outside word is just a reflection of what lies within you. So look for answers within, not without.

Meditation involves focussing on your breath, and just breath. At first, there will be a lot of noise (in your mind) when u try to do it, which forces most ppl to question the effectivenes. But like kefo said, if you commit yourself, it works wonders. Youll have calmness, clarity of thought, patience, among other things.

P.s i dont think much cuz it takes efforts and im lazy asf
