If the earth was flat, Columbus would’ve never discovered America, he’d probably just fall off the face of the earth.

 

If the earth was flat we'd have all the flat earthers saying I told you so, and the closer to the edge of the earth you got the more gravity would affect you

 

If the earth was flat during the day we would live lives normally but at night the whole earth would flip upside down (to block the sun/to get dark) and we would all fall right onto the ceilings. (Ceiling beds would save a lot of floor space tho ?)

 

If Earth was flat how would we have round boobș? I mean,imagine this,on a flat Earth the gravity is different so that means our boobș would be different also? Or or or,if the Earth would be flat those who say hold my beer,i can do this,would just fall off because you know...idiots

If earth was really flat i'd have to apologize to my brother for calling him and his wife insane. They're both flat-earthers and a bunch of other stuff. So if the earth was flat ig i would also start questioning other weird stuff he has told me and wondering if theybwere correct since he got one thing right (jim carrey is the devil in human form, Beyoncé is dead and jay z is the handler of a demon using her body, Antarctica doesn't exist, hollywood is turning the world gay, you can only become successful/famous if you have a mass òrgy with all the hollywood celebrities at the end of the year). Typical stuff like that.

I would also very much question why they wanted us to think the earth was round. Everyone already thought it was flat til galileo was all like 'nah' so what was the purpose of making us think it was round for a few hundred years

 

This isn't funny or stupid but like. Still funny to me because it shows flat earthers are idiots who pick and choose what they believe but it's literally impossible.

If the Earth were flat, there would be no Earth, as we know it as at least. Disregarding theories on it being a circle/disk, and instead looking at it like we do a map.

The Earth would be at a tilt. The land isn't scattered enough to cause even distribution, and we also have to take into account the weight we put within each continent. The Earth would definitely be at a tilt due to this, and that would cause water to run off and a shifting of whatever formation of plates we have. Lava, water, really any liquid would only flow a certain way unless it were on a surface like a plate that was can control, but we wouldn't have those liquids in the first place because they would be at a constant pour of some degree.

Basically, there's no functioning Earth if it's flat. Just a dead disk.

 

If the earth was flat, considering gravity would be off kilter given how gravity pushes from all sides with equal force, then the laws of gravity would be different. Tbh, everything as we know it would be fucked. Waves would not flow the same way, and honestly the volatility of liquids would have most likely swallowed all of the land mass earth has, the earth would be entirely water, and even further more since our land mass wouldn't be distributed equally, we would probably not be in the same orbit that we currently have; either hurling off in space or heading towards the sun... I think we would fly towards the sun, but that might just very well be the inner pessimist in me screaming for help. c:


Short answer: we're absorbed by the sun earth doesn't exist. Either Mercury or Venus would absorb our moon as their own.

 

1. I know quite a few otherwise very intelligent people who believe in flat earth. Believing in things like flat earth has less to do with intelligence or lackthereof and more to do with your level of trust with authority and/or a certain amount of naïveté. There are multiple reasons someone might come to a flat earth conclusion.

2. Literally everyone picks and chooses what they believe. You don’t need to be so condescending about something that you, yourself, do.

If the Earth were really flat, would it not spin like a music record? Or a pizza dough in someone's hand? Think about it ... Earth would be a human-flavored pizza being roasted by "global warming." Who will eat us in the end? A black hole? Waiting for that moment.

 

if the earth was really flat people would jump off the side to try and get the the bottom side of the earth (and would fail obviously)
