Has anyone else tried the beta for Fallout 76? I'm almost an hour in on my first beta session and kind of just not feeling it. Discuss?
v disappointed. i’m not much for multiplayer games on console so. meh. i just prefer fallout as a single player experience.
This feels almost... too multiplayer, though. It's like some off brand, Fallout themed/skinned nightmare. Normally, I'm down to play mmo's but idk, I'm glad I can put my $5 pre-order into something else at this point. Very thankful to be able to try it before buying.
Hopefully they continue with single-player Fallout games (as well as Elder Scrolls) and don't go full-multiplayer on us.
I hope so. This isn't cutting it and is more of a cop out for Bethesda compared to other Fallout games. ESO, in my opinion, was also a flop. This year has been kind of a weird year for games. The small list of games I've actually thoroughly enjoyed would be: God of War, Spider-Man, and Red Dead 2. RDR2 is still kinda on my shıt list atm but it's still good. GoW deserves GOTY.
I'm not super much of a gamer. I play Skyrim and Fallout 4 and that's it, but I play them a lot. I'm like Level 93 on Fallout 4 or something. I'm really picky with games and what I like tbh, so when I find one I like I reallyyyyy get into it.
I feel you, haha. That's me with Witcher 3, something I have yet to finish though because I love it too much and am trying to drag it out despite the billions of total gameplay hours it has. That's one I'd recommend if you're into the Skyrim type gameplay. Theres almost even a Fable feel to it, too, if you've played those. I've been told many times that I'm very wrong on my comparison but it's worth a playthrough. I was almost finished with Fallout 4 and then my data got corrupted and had to start over. Then I got some kind of glitch (excellent luck apparently) and had to start over agaaaaaiiiiinnnnn but I still play it. I'm somewhere in the 50s.
Oml you're good. I started playing Skyrim in I think 2013? And it was originally on Xbox 360 where I played it. But my brother, who was 8 at the time and I shared the Xbox with him, he kept accidentally deleting my save files. So I didn't really get into it until the remastered version came out and I played it on my PS4. I have like... all of the DLC for both of them.
Omfg, I'd have died! Glad you're safe to play now without him wiping it haha. I couldn't play it either but mainly because it made me violently ill with motion sickness. The framerate was adjusted in the remaster and I swear, I wanted to cry the first 5 minutes in because I'd been dying to play for so long and finally could and everything was so beautiful. It's SO GOOD.
Playing with a friend and we’re enjoying it so far. Although I have “accidentally” attacked a few people
Yep! They're doing scheduled beta dates right now. You can put $5 down on it at gamestop and grab a code. There's a time chart on Twitter. Nice! The longer I play, the less butthurt I am over it tbh. This whole no NPCs thing is what makes me angry and makes it feel kinda cop-outish. It just doesnt have the same feel at all.
Yeah it doesn’t have the same feel sadly. The random dialogue is what makes fallout brilliant and it’s missing that hugely
Yuuup. The holotapes just aren't doing it for me. I have a feeling that just for the sake of having it, I'll end up buying it. If you have a ps4 and plan on buying it, I'm down to play.
Yeah it’s a weird one to judge atm, seems to be a great multiplayer but not good solo. I’m on ps4 so if you decide to buy let me know
Oml you have no idea how emotionally invested I get in the romanceable NPCs in Fallout 4. I literally have Curie, Cait, Piper, MacCready, Hancock, and Preston all romanced. (MacCready is my main man though.)
