Everybody has mistakes. There is no human out there that I've ever met that has not made a mistake. We all could have done better in our past. My name is Kailyn, I am now thirty years old and I am a manager of a beauty salon, I have brown hair and brown eyes, my eyes are always baggy these days, I wish I was beautiful again like in high school. My life is not the way I always wanted it to be. I wanted to be a NICU nurse. With all my mistakes in the past, I didn't get to be what I wanted. I'm now single and living alone in a one bedroom apartment. I just got out of a marriage with a man name Roger. We were married for a little over a year. We met in Las Vegas and turns out he was cheating on me the whole time. As of now, I am getting ready for work. Today I am having a wedding party to come in to get their hair and nails done. Thing is, the girl who is getting married is an old friend from high school.. Who now hates me. Sophie Bandera. She is a tough woman who drank a lot in high school and had many piercings and had green hair, she is now a blonde and known now as the motorcycle queen. She has many motorcycles and her fiancé is an owner of a motorcycle shop. AN HOUR LATER As I am helping my co-workers prepare for the bride and bridesmaids to come in, Sophie walks in with 4 other girls. I quickly walk to my station and put on a great big smile as I wait for one of the girls to sit in my chair. They all walk by and next thing I know, Sophie is sitting in my chair. "Hello Sophie, how are you today?" "Pretty swell, Kailyn" she smiles, "I didn't know it was you, I never see you around town these days." "Yeah, I'm usually working or at home, figuring things out." "Well how are you and Roger?" I paused for a minutes and let out a quiet sigh,"We got a divorce." "Oh, I'm sorry Kailyn." It got really silent then, I didn't know what to say to her. Once they all left, I cleaned up ad went home to the apartment and passed out on the couch. "Miserable Kailyn, do you want to restart at life?" I heard a deep, creepy voice say. I tried to wake up but, I couldn't wake up.
When I finally am able to wake myself, I open my eyes to a dark room with one candle lit beside me and I scream, "where am I?!?" A deep voice that I heard earlier responds, "Miss Kailyn, you have a chance to go back to high school and fix the mistakes you have made, do it right this time." I try to look around for the man who is speaking to me, but I see nothing. "Hello?? I'm confused!" Then I somehow fell back asleep. When I woke up, I was in my old bedroom with yellow walls and pictures of me and friends and family on the walls. Holy cow, I was back at home at my parents house. I got up out of bed and went to the mirror. I was now staring in shock at a girl who was innocent, brown haired with blonde streaks, pure brown eyes, and wearing black flats with a blushing pink sundress. I held my hand over my mouth and let out a loud scream. Then I heard a sound of running footsteps to my room.
"What's wrong sweetie?!" my mom said running to me and hugging me. "Oh nothing mom, there just was a giant spider on the floor." I said looking down with bright red cheeks. I haven't seen my mom or dad in over a year. My mom looks so young now. I forgot how perfect my life was then. "Huney, you're going to be late for your first day as a senior, you better get going." "Oh yeah, see you after school mom." She kisses my forehead and left and I went out to my car, a 1986 Ford Taurus, it felt weird driving in it now. I drive a Pontiac sunfire 2002 now.. Way more updated. As I drive I try to remember the roads and shortcuts to school. As I pulled into the school parking lot, I saw my current boyfriend, Hill. We were dating since the 8th grade at the time. I haven't seen him in three years at a school reunion. Last I knew, he was married to Maeghan Renee Daniels, my worst enemy in high school. She was a pretty blonde cheerleader and loved to control everything. I was surprised on how hot he was, I totally forgot. He had black hair with a little mohawk going on and a buff body. He was SUPER smart, he was on the football team but he was a specialist with computers and other electrical devices, that only I knew about. I got out of my car and walked to him with a big smile on my face that made me look like a dork. He slipped his warm around my waist and we started walking into school. "Babe, you're late.. What's with the huge smile?" "I'm sorry, I had some difficulty with my hair this morning, and I just missed you." He smiled,"You just saw me yesterday at Sophie's party." "Oh yeah." We laughed and entered the school. So many memories! I forgot how crowded and crazy it is in high school. My best friend since the 1st grade came running to me, Delilah. She was always wearing the cutest dresses, behind her followed Sean, her boyfriend. His hair was brown and was always flipped to the side, he had deep blue ocean eyes. He had a really muscular body. I haven't seen him and Delilah since their wedding 2 years ago. "Kailyn!" Delilah yelled, hugging me. I hugged her and said, "Hey Delilah!" "That party last night was so amazing" she said whispering to me,"Sophie sure knows how to throw a great party!" I laughed and was about to speak but then one of our strict teachers, Mr. Calum started speaking and handing out schedules with everyones' locker combo on it. Mr. Calum was short but really handsome. He was tanned and super fit, blue eyes, and brown hair. Once he gave me my schedules I smiled and said," Thanks Mr. Calum." Hill nudged mr and smirked. Hill thought I might cheat on him, which I eventually did, but I need to fix that because he was the one for me and I ruined it... That's why I'm here. Sophie, Delilah, Hill, and I gathered in a circle to see if we have classes together and then we all went our separate ways, besides Hill and I. We had the same class first period and he always walks me to my classes.
