A few days ago, I found this little (huge) guy sitting on my shoe box. He's still alive but he doesn't move much unless I poke him (then he'll move like a step or two but that's it). Anywho, this is a giant ass flippin grasshopper. If I was to try and hold it, it literally wouldn't fit in my hand. I won't keep him hostage, but for now I'm calling him my pet. I don't have a name for him yet.
I'm trying to find a way to capture him and let him outside without hurting both of us bcuz if he tries to jump, I'm gonna freak :'(
The other day I was walking home and I noticed a bird on the ground that looked like it was digging for worms... but it was frozen still, mid-motion and I was sort of confused. I couldn't tell if it was just standing there or if it was frozen, mid-motion, because it looked like it was digging up worms. So I stopped and I looked closer, whistled at it, and it did nothing. I wondered if it was dead. Maybe it had a heart attack or something. Or maybe a paralysis tick attacked it. I've never seen or noticed this before so I pulled out my phone and was about to start recording when it started to move again, picking at the worms. I figure it was just sleeping. But it was like mid-day, on the ground, and seemingly mid-activity. I guess sleep came without warning for that fellow.
The size of your hand? Damn. Big grasshopper. Last one I found wasn't quite that big, but he wouldn't shut up. Is he making noises? Just coax him into a shoe box or Tupperware or something with a top you can carry him outside in.... When you find him I guess. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x -Victoria
