Wow warmth, I had no idea you were so racist against Asian people. Chinese restaurant syndrome is not real. The one study that says msg isn't safe was conducted in the 1960s and they injected MSG directly into mice's veins. So yeah, msg will make you sick if you directly inject it into your veins. But all the studies since then have proven MSG into be safe to eat. Did ya know you can kill someone by injecting salt into their veins. Did you know you shouldn't inject anything into your veins? Stop spreading racist ruhmors from the 60s.
I’m mostly Asian but go off I guess? None of this has to do with race. Talking about science and chemicals =/= anything to do with race, not with the information I’ve pushed forward. If anything, what I talk about includes neurotypical individuals not being affected as badly as neurodivergent individuals who consume MSG, and even then it is in the persons favor. I’m not sure on how to link things, but I recommend checking out this website https://chriskresser.com/beyond-msg-cou ... ur-health/ because they have good studies embedded into it that you can look into yourself that include good descriptions and images.
I don't actively try to avoid it, but I don't like using it in any of my cooking. There is a kid in my culinary club that is obssessed with it and carries around a tub of it. He'll eat it directly out of the tub, just sprinkle it into his mouth, and if you're not paying attention he'll throw some in your dish or whatever and it just overall annoying. It's really gross and he's ruined more than a few dishes because of it, so now I just associate msg with him being annoying, so I don't like to use it
Caspy, the US diet is tough, you think you’re doing the right thing, then realise there are chemicals you haven’t even heard of in the foods.. like BHT in breakfast cereals.. and as far as junk food is concerned, it’s really worrying the amount of stuff they put in there.. A drumstick ice cream cone in Australia has 13 listed ingredients, the first being cream. The US version has 51 listed ingredients, the first being “dairy product solids”, which just sounds gross
He's shadow VP and doesn't listen to anyone. Everyone knows he does it but he won't stop, so I just take it away when I can
I will never click on a link to an unaccredited website from an internet forum. That's internet safey 101, pleb. Also, we've already established multiple times in the past that you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to nutrition. I have an actual degree and you have a thick head. So anyway, the worst sort of racist is the kind that hates their own culture enough to believe lies and false info that are told about their culture. Very sad.
It's wise in the US to avoid all processed or prepared foods. If you need any recipies for anything I got you. You must cook from scratch everyday to avoid cancer and diabetes in our country.
It’s seriously scary how much the FDA allows them to get away with.. but I suppose the whole cycle is apparent to a lot of people, you eat the stuff, get sick, buy meds, get sicker, buy more meds, die.. it’s a great racket.. and thanks lovely
Cooking from scratch isn't even enough sometimes, you have to grow your own food yourself:c (certain stuff that is rly porous anyway like apples and potatoes)
Chris Kresser ( the persons who website chriskresser.com is (in the link I provided)) is accredited. He has multiple books on dieting as well as degrees from Berkeley, so the website is quite nice and handy, but sure, whatever you say. You state “It's wise in the US to avoid all processed or prepared foods”, which means you should know that MSG is the free glutamate chemical (free meaning bad here because that means unnatural and/or altered) found in pretty much any processed foods. Doritos, cheese, fried chicken, packaged soups, etc. I don’t care if you want to believe you have some all-knowing knowledge of diet; eating MSG regularly, instead of bound glutamate, is bad for you. Also, drop the whole race thing. Nothing I’ve said has to do with race, and I personally don’t see how talking about a raw and the altered form of a chemical that becomes bad for you has anything to do with mine or anyone else’s race. Bringing the whatever Chinese restaurant thing you’re talking about; many of them who are actually authentic don’t use anything processed with MSG added on and the foods they use only contain naturally occurring glutamate since they are not altering the food. Unless the individual buying the food is using something like soy sauce, which the business doesn’t control, then they are, a majority of the time, avoiding a large amount of MSG.
Ahli is catching on quick to the system at play. Wednesday is right, I grow most of my own produce. But there's also places you can buy organic produce, that's your best bet if you aren't growing it or buying it off a friend. Warmth is stupid. MSG isn't a preservative it's a flavor additive...like rosemary, sage, basil etc. Preservatives such as excess nitrates and large amounts of salt is what makes processed foods unhealthy. Oh and some Chinese restaurants stopped using MSG because racists won't eat it. They were going out of business at rediculous levels back in the 80s.
I’ve been calling MSG a chemical. I never said anything about preservatives, so lemme just, uh, stop ya right there. Preservative never came from me. It’s a flavor enhancer, yes, but it’s an enhancer that’s been altered and changed and now includes more sodium, hence the S. Adding mooore sodium is never good, that’s just plain fact. Sure, some of it isn’t gonna kill you, it’s whatever, but adding on salt and MSG and things with more sodium, which many processed foods do (such as soy/fish sauce or packaged soups) isn’t good. If a Chinese Restaurant is authentic, the meat items don’t contain MSG unless it comes with sauce on it, then it’s unavoidable, but still not a piled on amount of that unwanted sodium that so many people forget about. If the meat is processed, has sauce, and then the individual adds another sauce like soy sauce.. That’s going to be a LOT of sodium/MSG. None of that has to do with race; it has to do with avoiding mass amounts of something that will ultimately effect you negatively, causing bloating, weight gain, migraines, etc.
 can you just stop spewing your bs when it comes to food. It's very sad how little you know and spreading false information is a bannable offence in this forum. You're to stupid to correct. You just write another fictional novel about how you aren't wrong. But at the end of the day, everything you say ends up being fiction. Very sad
I've prepared many Asian cuisine style meals at home. Never gone to seek msg for it. Does cornstarch used to thicken the sauce that is dusted lightly upon the protein to make the velvety sauce contain msg? I'm no nutritionist, but imagining those sodium preserved frozen meals likely obtain more of that msg stuffs
MSG actually contains 60% less sodium than table salt. So if you're using it instead of salt... you're eating less sodium. Processed foods use both large amounts of sodium and salt. And no, cornstarch isn't msg. But it kinda can be, if you used salt in the dish. You have the sodium and the glutamate. So....you are eating msg, sorta
