  1. I’m currently attending college.

I’ve seen topics of Mary j. I have to say it helps me relax while I’m anxious.

I’ve also seen coke. I didn’t try it myself.

I’ve also seen a few alcoholic beverages. I may or may not have prior experience.

    Am I an addict?

  2. It sounds like you have a psychological dependence on cannibas, based on your information. However it doesn't sound like you're an alcoholic.

  3. Like I don’t have anxiety, but say if I’m nervous about an upcoming test, I’ll study a few hours and roll up with a few friends

  4. Okay, that doesn't sound like you're dependent on it. I feel like you would be more addicted if you were like, "I'm anxious all the time and need weed to function and make me not anxious." Doesn't sound like that's the case with you, as it seems to be more situational than a chronic use of it.

  5. If this is your go to anxiety reliever you're an addict.

  6. But I smoke it only 16 times out of 365 days a year

  7. That's more than once a month. "ONLY" isn't a good descriptior in that comparison

  8. There’s people that smoke it everyday and depend on it in my dorm

  9. Am I an addict because I need my anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications to function? ? Yes. Is that inherently a bad thing? No.

I follow my perscriptions and do not abuse them.

But I am addicted to them and if not weaned off properly if I were to get off the medication (or switch to a different one), I would go into withdrawal. I have gone into withdrawal before when I was irresponsible with getting a refill on time.

Is Michelle an addict? No. She doesn't sound like one at all... there is no indication in the information she gave us of a psychological dependency.

Misusing the term drug addict is harmful, and you can direct your dislike of drug use at her. You can call Michelle a drug user, which most certainly she is, but she doesn't sound like an addict in the least.

  10. There's alcoholics that get drunk everyday and there's alcoholics that get drunk once a week.

My hubby is an alcoholic that drinks once a month. He'd drink everyday if he could, but he doesn't. Yet he still considers himself an alcoholic.

Don't ever tell yourself something is okay because other people do it more than you. Is robbing 1 bank better than robbing 5 banks? No. You're still a bank robber

  11. I’ve never had coke but it doesn’t seem much fun. Supposedly feels like caffeinex10.
Imagine sitting down on the subway, everyone’s chilling, reading a book or listening to music and then there’s you. Sitting on the subway. Except it feels like there’s 1028391 things happening and it feels like your brain is moving thru a vortex or something, but you’re literally, sitting on the subway waiting for your stop. But then again I never tried it so idk XD just stories from my friends.
Not to mention it’s expensive af and even tho you’re energetic you can’t focus enough to get work done. Some time in your college life you might encounter adderall, which is THE DEVIL!!! mouth dry af, disgusting taste on your tongue, can’t eat for s***, gets you depressed and serious asl, some ppl love it coz it probably affects them differently but most of the time it’s like I said. Gets your work done tho. My friend once slept 2 hours in a 40 hour time period coz he kept popping them during finals week. I wanted to punch him so badly

  12. I know people who smoke every day and aren't addicts. If they can't afford it they don't buy it. If you're addicted you wouldn't be able to go with out it

  13. I also like to drink too, not as often as I like but I like the feeling of chugging a bottle of vodka with the tingling in my throat

  14. Hate to break it to you, those people are addicts.

    Functional addicts are a thing

  15. I love taking adderall during finals, I can’t afford to buy as much as I would like but I buy like 4 when I do to last the testing/ studying season since caffeine makes me sleepy and gives me stomach pain

  16. Weed isn't addictive lol and an addict is some one who would sell there soul for the next hit because the drug makes them feel good. If you can go a week without withdrawal symptoms or mood swings I don't consider that an addict

  17. Oh lord, please don't misuse perscription drugs. ?

  18. Sometimes I wanna try coke for fun but then I back out thinking something bad might happen to me

  19. There is absolutely no drug that improves cognitive function. Not one.

    Just remember that

  20. Drugs are chemicals. Dopamine is an inherent chemical in our brain responsible for the reward and happiness system. Say someone enjoys sweet stuff or enjoys having s*x because it tickkes their dopamine receptors, are they drug addicts?
