Was reading this book and came across this: This, I think, is the crux of evil in this world, Majesty: those who feel entitled to whatever they want, whatever they can grab. Such people never ask themselves if they have the right. They consider no cost to anyone but themselves. So, as the title implies, what are your thoughts on this?
Devils to some and angels to the others in diff. scenarios I would say. It also depends on the context. I don't believe sacrificing the happiness of one person to give someone else the things they deserve is really right. But can you keep everyone happy? does the life of a million people matter more than a few hundreds or vice versa? Everything always has a consequence so how do you know what you will do won't do harm to others? All assuming someone believes they are entitled as the hero of justice.
If someone just believes he/she has the right do whatever he wants or however he/she wants no matter the consequences I do deem them to be a threat that should be eliminated.
I think no What gave them a sense of entitlement? and what do they feel entitled to? and how can one person's misinterpretation of property be a root issue in the world?
A selfish person. Someone who only cares about his well being and satisfying his own desires rather than thinking about the people around him. The “I deserve this I deserve that” kind of person.
