I’m a Cashier at a retail store. And I got into a great conversation with this customer. I ended up getting her number, and she invented me to hang out this weekend. I haven’t texted her yet. The issue is I don’t know how old she is? She looks very young and I don’t know if she’s over 18. I’m 22 btw.
If you want to find out casually, then text her to initiate a conversation and introduce who you are, say your age, etc, and then ask her about herself as well.
Just ask. “Hey it’s blah blah blah from the retail store. I forgot to ask you when we spoke, but how old are you?” If she’s old enough she won’t take it in any way. If she’s too young, then that’s better for you unless you want to catch a case
You think that’s just coming out to strong. I mean won’t she get offended. But I like what you said, I might use it word by word.
Nah it’s a win win in your case. Doesn’t seem like you want her to be under the age (thank God), and if she’s old enough then she’ll be confident in answering you. I recommend not to mention your age as she could possibly lie, but it’s up to you. And if all goes well and you get a chance to see her again, try to naturally get some hard evidence of her age if you’re still curious.
So no one is going to ask why a 22 year old man accepted the number of someone he describes looks "very young"? You should have at least asked her age first. Teens are too fast nowadays, don't steer them further in the direction they're already heading.
Have you seen girls these days. Some act way mature for there age. While looking old. Others really look young but they’re older then expected.
