So some of this is obvious but here are some tips to make your moderator application e-mail to support@athinkingape.com a little bit more formal and presentable. I know I am not a mod but I have written many letters of applications and be accepted most of the time (80%) No abbreviations. Don't be lazy, write out application, Party In My Dorm, and write out "et cetera" No emoji. The Developers don't want to see a smiley face in an application. You DO NOT play the game. You use the application. Read your e-mail back, forwards, and out loud. Make sure there is no mistakes. Paragraphs...use a few... Be thorough. Go into detail backing up each statement. Look at the basic qualifications. Check the "So You Want to Become a Mod" thread to see if you have what it takes and incoporate it into the letter. No slang or texting language. Obvious enough. Don't say: Love, _______ You don't know the developers personally, use something else Hold back the sarcasm, it is an application, you are applying for a big position. Follow these easy steps and you could be a moderator! Post another do/don't if you can think of any. ,
Sorry. I don't like this Do's and Don'ts. I think you should leave it to the mods because you aren't a moderator yet so we do not know if it actually works. Here is what I put in. Dear A.T.A, I play Party In My Dorm and I would like to be a moderator. My screen name on PIMD is Azizosis. I started playing PIMD on the 31st of January 2011. I have never been silenced and I play by the rules. Qualities that I have: •I am extremely active. •I read the ToU regularly. •I go on forums quite a lot. •I help many people with their questions. •I will try to keep in contact with The Developers. •I am liked by the majority of the community. •I play KaW and FC. •I understand most slang. •I understand the games mechanics. •I go on Campus Chat when I have speakers. Thank you for taking your time to read my application. I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely Azizosis
Your application Style does not matter a large amount, it all comes down to how qualified you are for the position in the game, not how qualified you claim to be on your application. The Helper _Warrior
My email said, make me a moderator and MAYBE I'll help out the pimd community Maybe, that's why they never responded
Warrior you are completely wrong. As everyone here does not know me right? Yet I have the 120 day achievement is because I was here the first day the game came out them I quit. Here is why you are wrong Warrior: I tested this just to see. I sent in a mod application claiming I was the best person in PIMD, that I was the most helpful player, the nicest player, that I knew everything about the game. And so on an so forth I went. When they responded their response was: Your application has been accepted but our quota for your is currently filled we will keep you on our list for further reference. We will notify you if anything comes up. As you can see it doesn't matter.
They are nicely rejecting you, that is an automatic response  and btw they say that to all qualified canidates. They next step is when they review your account and see if you were telling the truth in your application. The Helper _Warrior
Lord Bunny either you don't read thoroughly or you are ignorant. Warrior said "NOT how qualified you CLAIMED to be" So when you emailed the Devs, that's exactly what you did. You CLAIMED to be all of these great things, but obviously you aren't because like you said, you quit and hardly ever play. So you actually proved Warrior right. You were sent a pre-written message that they send to everybody. So you aren't anything special with your made up, false email. Just like everyone else.
