Have you ever been stalked on this game? Have you encountered people that have gone as far as making alts simply to try get personal details about you, out of you, or your RS? Have you encountered veteran players, that you have seen for years, all of a sudden asking a lot of personal questions about you? If so, I’d like to hear your story.
Yes. Two ppl. I shall not name them though because they both look at forums sometimes. One of them ik stalks oher girls too and leads a very creepy sad life. The other guy's friend committed suicide apparently and I was nice to him at the time and he got a little creepy and now won't leave me alone. I've changed my name multiple times since we've met and this was before I was all over forums but somehow he still always manages to find me, usually on different accounts
Yes, unfortunately. I even had to threaten to call the police on them because of how far they stalked me. I will not say names. This is one of the reasons why you don't share personal information, no matter how well you think you can trust someone.
There was that guy named up2nogood who found my pic on selfie thread and reverse image searched me and found my Instagram and then told me my name on the selfie thread. and well the name was spelt wrong. except that there are a couple instances of people I know that have stalked people to mad depths and went as far as contacting their families but I would rather not share that for privacy's sake. but yeah sharing pics on selfie thread makes you a lil vulnerable.
I greatly appreciate all of you sharing your stories. I am sorry that you experienced those things. I know first hand what invasion of privacy can feel like even if they actually get it wrong, and I hope that your experiences can serve as a warning to others. I also hope we can all learn from these shares, and better protect ourselves from, and cope with, the darker side of being active on varied forms of social media.
You can help avoid this by simply renaming the photo or only posting a photo that you have not posted anywhere else on the world wide web.
I had something very similar happen but I can't say anything because the dude is leaderboard now and even if I don't name names he'll know ? don't need to be "strip farmed off the game"
I guess you can call it stalking, when people who used to be your friends just share your personal info to random people and just check on you from time to time.
Actually, you can share social media, but we often give it out to the wrong people. Which is why you get to know them first before seducing whether or not to further whatever type of relationship you may have with that person. Some of us are trustworthy. Others are the opposite. I understand how you feel though. You're attractive to males and some don't understand the concept of the friend zone or rejection. One of my female friends was stalked a while ago. I made a few jokes about it, but I'm glad it stopped.
