The Hand

Based on a true event that happened to myself

Prologue

You know that feeling you get where it feels like someone is watching you? That’s my life. There is always someone watching me from somewhere, mostly from a distance. Sometimes, however, they reach out to me. Literally.

First, some context: I believe I’m being haunted. I don’t by what, but it’s the only thing that makes sense. I live in an apartment building and I feel like I’m being watched when I pass by my balcony door.

“Well, why don’t you just try not to walk passed the balcony door?” That’s what you’re asking right now, aren’t you? Well, here is your answer: to do that, I would have to never leave my room ever again. My balcony is located to the right of my room, connected to the living room. Now, it’s easy enough to just not walk passed at night because that’s when I feel eyes peering at me, but when I wake up at night having to use the washroom, it makes it not so easy.

“You’re just paranoid. No one and nothing is watching you leave your room to take a piss.” It’s easy enough to dismiss it as that, right? Wrong. Now comes the creepier part. Last night, I was grabbed. Yes, grabbed. I saw a hand reach out and grab my wrist. I even felt it. I don’t even know why I woke up before this happened. I just felt the need to move right before the hand appeared from out under my pillow.

You’re judging me right now, aren’t you? It’s the pillow part, isn’t it? I’ll have you know, a few people have commented on how, if this is some sort of spirit or demon, it knows how to scare someone by making their bed a scary place.

Anyways, back on topic. The hand had relatively no temperature, grasped my wrist fairly lightly, and looked like that of an older woman’s.

This is all I know as of right now. As new information becomes available, I’ll share it here. I just hope this is some weird hallucination.

 

I just have had some weird stuff going on lol. My apartment just kinda freaks me out.

 

It had longer nails that didn’t look like that of a man’s.
