People choose different lifestyles, who am i to judge them or look down on them. I wouldn't personally think the guy is trustworthy or dating material, or approve it but i don't see it wrong if the girls know about it and choose to stick with it

I agree to some extent. It not really your fault if someone lies to you but you do choose to trust someone. Manipulating means control or influencing people to your advantage, most likely by being dishonest.
