I have to agree. The stats may be better however the "artwork" on these are very poor. The proportions are off,there's no detail or shading.

Why does the forum avi pictures and story avi pictures look nothing alike? Confusing

 

The avatars on forums are the ones you’ll get after completing the event story. And the ones on the story (who tell you what’s happening) are just pimd mascots kinda.
