Why do monkeys exist?

  1. So if humans evolved from monkeys why do monkeys still exist??
Why didn't they all became different breeds of humans???
    Why???

  2. Well fam, we didn't evolve from the modern ape, da modern ape and humans share a same common ancestor and I'm pretty sure that common ancestor is exist so yeah our ancestors did go exist. Modern apes are just our cousins ye know fam.

Apes stil exist cos I dunno it's still useful to be a foken ape bruh? We just evolved to take advantage of different resources.

But don't worry fam, humans are such efficient and ruthless killers that it won't be long before our cousins r killed into extinction before they rise up and take over da planet.

In b4 kefo nd dem long paragraphs.

  3. Because people like you didn't evolve as expected

  4. Lmao @ both comments
    Good read indeed

  5. Because nobody ever said we evolved FROM them. In reality, we evolved with them and we share a common ancestor.
Then again everything on earth may have 1 common ancestor. The first living thing in the universe.

I like to believe that there were some minerals stuff in the ground on some planet (whether Terrestrial or Extra+terrestrial) which were coincidentally conducive to electricity and to act as a type of circuit.

Keep in mind that this random assortment and composition of minerals may be a very high order thing, and the odds of them finding this pattern that can create life may be a 1/1,000,000,000,000,000 chance, but the universe is old enough for that to be expected a few times before its end.

We break societies and ecosystems into bodies, the bodies down into organs, then organs into organelles, organelles into cells, cells can contain microorganisms such as mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell, which are made from compunds, compounds are made of atoms, atoms are made from subatomic particles.

At the beginning of the universe, there were only like sub-sub-sub-atomic particles, and as time moved on, more complextiy developed.

Idk exactly everything about the big history of our universe.
But what really fascinates me is what the most basic "alive" thing is.

When compounds become bodies or something. I feel like for something to be alive, it must have an electric or chemical current.

It must be capable of storing energy!
(Figuring stuff out as I go)

It's very hard to imagine. I guess if I had a degree in organic chemistry and some kind of biology -Idk what degree- it might be possible to answer.

Homeostasis can occur with basic reflexes. Pain receptors would be too advanced for the organism I'd call the first. It'd have to basically be something alive which evolves, not through self-replication, but simply through changing itself.

The first organism would be microscopic and incredibly interesting. More basic than an amoeba because they can reproduce. The first live thing would have to not even strive for its own survival. Natural selection would enable its descendants to have a goal of survival.

This hurts my head. I hope someone figures it out one day. I'd like to see a basic blueprint of the most basic 'living thing', essentially an organic battery.

Oh point is. We also "evolved from" cucumbers by the same logic.
Nobody claims we evolved from Monkeys. We are still often considered apes. The similarities are too similar. We're like their 10,000th cousins.

  6. Damn these comments are golden.

  11. Calm down boi

  12. If dogs evolved from wolves then why do wolves still exist? If Google was founded in the 90's, why do I still have to see stupid questions like this?
