As you know, (there is a current thread about it too) there are people in the world who need our help. I can't list every disaster there is now but I'd like to focus on two issues we have currently. Many are aware of the Hurricane Harvey crisis. It's a category 4 hurricane that brewed in the Gulf of Mexico and so far has killed 27 and displaced over 30,000 people. Lesser known but even more deadly is the South Asian monsoon flooding. It has killed more than 1,200 and millions are displaced. Numbers will probably rise. Hopefully, ATA will decide to do something but that doesn't mean we can't if they don't. For Hurricane Harvey, here is a list of charities by a site that checks how transparent and legit charities are. Regardless, it doesn't hurt to do extra research on your chosen charity to make sure the money reaches its intended destination. Hurricane Harvey Charities Finding charities for the South Asian Flooding has proven to be more difficult, unfortunately, but I've managed to find three charities that may help. UNICEF Oxfam India Save The Children Remember to do some research on where your money goes. Also there are many ways to help besides donating. Whatever you do is your choice but let's help out in any way we can no matter how small it is.
Thank you for posting this honestly. I mean I'm actually poor af rn, but I appreciate the effort. Seriously.... no sarcasm or rude intentions intended lol
