Wolf Travels: Prague

  1. Well, this took forever to make. (Not really just laziness.) But I saw these pics somewhere and I was like, “Oh yeah.” So here we are again. Forums isn’t the same as before but maybe we need to give it more of a pulse. To those trolls and people who just keep complaining, lemme play the world’s tiniest violin for ya.

I actually got one just for you.

But enough of that, we should carry on to one of my most favorite cities in the world.

    Prague

To sum it up, Prague is pretty old. It’s seen a lot of stuff. Evidence of occupation in the area was found dating back to 5500 BC - 4500 BC. Did I mention old?

Besides that, they have pretty good beer. They have the largest castle in the world (Prague Castle). They have pretty famous visitors like Mozart, Beethoven or Hans Christian Andersen. They produced Franz Kafka. There’s just a lot to love about it.

Oh, we must not forget the astronomical clock.

But most of what I’m sharing today is Charles Bridge.

Construction began 1357 (under King Charles IV hence the name) and was completed 1402. It crosses the Vitava river. (For those of you too lazy to read up on it) basically it’s a big stone bridge with statues of various saints lining up both sides.

    *sniffs* ”What’s that smell?”

”It's ...not what it looks like.”

    ”Hang in there.”
“I hate u so much rn.”

    ”Pls sir. Volley me.”

    ”OMG, Winston’s giving away crates!!!”
    “CRATE!? AHHH!”
“Plsssss I never had a crate in my life!”

Well, the sky was awesome that day.

But in my opinion, Prague really wakes up during the evening. Suddenly, there’s a whole lot of people everywhere from different parts of the world just enjoying the whole experience.

There’s a lot to say about Prague but I feel it’s better summarized in a picture. (Or so lazy people like to say)

Well, that’s all I got for now. Maybe it’d make you consider paying the city a visit. If you do, explore it well. It’s rewarding and there are a lot of other sites to see that I didn’t mention. See ya!

  2. i want that clock, it gives me feelings

  3. Ugh I love the photos

  4. How are the locals there?

  5. It looks and sounds like a very enjoyable place tbh

  6. Hope they don't tear down all yalls statues like they are in America. Apparently we don't think history is important here. Good pics btw.

  7. prague statues dont celebrate racism so maybe take your misplaced nationalism to a different thread thanks!

  8. How are you so positive that these so called racists didn't go through Prague along the way to a heritage that you obviously don't consider as special?

    Nice thread btw, wolf

  9. like, im pretty sure the Whites Of America™ didnt detour back to europe on their way to losing a war over the right to enslave black people and then making statues about it decades later when the civil rights movement picked up.....but whatever u say lmao

anyway, we were talking about how nice this city is, not derailing and making it about the US as per usual, so if we could keep like ONE thread on track that'd b gr8

  10. The people who manage tourist areas like shops and restaurants are nice enough since they're used to tons of people. Otherwise, they keep to themselves. I didn't have enough time to immerse myself in the culture though. 

  11. Nice topic! Its nice to see this in the forum
