You know it's summer in Australia when: ️ You step out of a cool shower, and within minutes, need another one.. ️ Cicadas provide your summer theme song, all day, every day. Starting from dawn at 5am.. ️ You have to battle a cacophony of insects daily, including those giant skateboard roaches.. The ones that fly.. At you.. ️ It's raining so hard, your backyard is flooded, and you're still sweating ️ Huntsman spiders drop in to let you know rain is coming, then quickly disappear.. Then reappear just before bedtime.. Above your bed.. ️ Southerly winds and afternoon storms are celebrated like gifts from God. ️ The definition of a true Aussie Battler is surviving January without air conditioning. ️ You have a pedestal fan running 24/7, knowing it does nothing, but knowing that not having it on would be worse. ️ A good portion of your pay is spent on McDonald's frozen coke.. Even if you know deep down its only half a cup. ️ Seeing people walking through shopping centres or the local Woolies in bikinis or budgie smugglers is the norm. You know it's summer in Australia when
