Faith in humanity

  1. Last time I had a discussion with someone who really hates people with another religion than he has. - (He is Catholic) -

He being a "good" Catholic, saying he goes to Church every Sunday, but keeps talking about how he hate Muslims, Jews etc.

His opinion to dislike people, okay. But is it really his job to judge them?

I asked him why he thinks he is a good Catholic, because of his hatred towards others.

His response: "I hate them with all my life, because of them I have lost total faith in humanity. They make war, destroy other peoples lives and I just hate them! You don't see me doing that shit do you?"

So it's not my place to judge him by the way he thinks and speak.. but I just had to tell him that he can't be a good humanbeing by even thinking the way he does.

How do you think you are a good humanbeing if you just think everyone is the same? (Even harrassing people on the streets, because of their etnicity or their religion) How are you a good humanbeing if you are not doing anything in your life to be good.

Be good and the good will come back at you.
The beginning of goodness is within yourself, any act of kindness. You may not save the world, but you can save faith in humanity.

I'm not sorry for bringing this up. I had to share what's on my mind.

"Spread your kindness, share your love."

  3. I can't take most Catholics seriously. I've met many that are hypocrites like your friend.

  4. Human being*

Hate is everywhere, it's not something related to religion it's related to oneself, the hatred is inside of the hater regardless of their religious beliefs. We're always looking for reasons to hate each other, I don't know why. As long as it doesn't affect me in any way I don't really care about how people live their lives, they can love, hate, etc...

  10. Myself being a Catholic as well, it saddens me to know there are people like this in the world. I have no problem with people different than I. It's what makes us beautiful and unique. It brings us together and makes our world a much better and wonderful place. Black, white, Hispanic, Muslim, Jew, gay, trans. We're all people. I like to say we're all different shades of the same rainbow. Different religion, sex, race. It doesn't matter. We have to learn to love each other and help one another. Once we learn to do that more no matter the difference in others, there will be no stopping our progress. 
