Central Air (warning poem/song rant)

It's a sign of times/
No time for reading minds/
There's school for illiterates
But no courses for reading in between lines/

Fingers pointing but no crime.../
Trial, no conviction, fees, or fines/
Just more blind leading blind/
and I don't believe numbers lie..
Tell me the amount of the bribes/

I'm convinced liars try/
To manipulate facts right in front of our eyes/
Slander the dedication of someone
Who's served their country most of their lives/

...So let me vent...

I am convinced
that our nations division/
Is senseless
and I am a witness
and I don't intend to give any forgiveness
to those that weren't with it or pretend it's
none of their business/

I am convinced
our injustices grow so large that we just ignore all the small ones; indifference/
and I cannot be upset and hide my grimace
I refuse to support someone who's proven a menace/
I support our women/
Those who worked maybe twice or more times as hard just for the same position/
It's sickening/
They only earn a percentage/
of what I would just because they say that business is business/
and you've got to play the part to be part of the business/

If it's not freedom or liberty then what is this?/
When we want to build walls around us and decide who gets what... what it more resembles is prison/

I hope all the Christians pray for the children/
That they won't make the same mistakes and bring the same fate on their children/
And I hope this recount actually makes a difference/
then I can actually have faith in our system/
