HALLOWEEN Night With A Cowboy

  1. Their was this sweet innocent girl from a small town in Kentucky who moved to spooky old house a secluded piece of land down in south of Houston Texas, For the first 30 days her nights had been haunted but far too satisfying.

The Smiling Cowboy, as she called him, had been appearing every night in her dreams. Ever since she arrived. The first time she saw him, his dark cowboy hat was tipped down, covering his black eyes, showing only his tanned face and crooked grin. His plaid shirt only half buttoned under a leather vest, jeans, boots, and a shiny belt buckle. She’d never seen him in real life. She’d have remembered him if she had. She’d always had a thing for cowboys.

Then the night of October 31, he appeared, this time in the flesh. “Howdy, ma’am,” he’d drawled. “Welcome home.” Slowly kissing her like he'd known her forever.

He came in and they spent hours together, talked and talked, she would ask about his family and friends but his answers were very short and simple, he wouldn't share many details. Night came and they had dinner, watched movie he picked it out. It was a horror movie, a violent slasher film, throughout the movie he kept whispering in her ear hed like to try the movie with her. She thought that he was crazy, thought it was a bizarre joke, she laughed and giggled about it and didnt give it too much thought. She eventually drifted off to sleep in his arms on the couch.

He waited as some time passed, waiting until she was deep asleep. He slowly moved making sure not to wake her up. Grabbed a pillow and gently placed her head onto it. He smiled, that same crooked smile she saw the first time he appeared to her, and walked to the kitchen. He come back with a glass of water and some bread. He places it on the table, smiling down at her. He leans over her and kisses her gently on the forehead before walking off to give her some peace and quiet, allowing her to sleep peacefully.

Many thoughts were going through his head, he knew in the end this was all a one night thing, that this was always going to end one way. He returns beside her sleeping body on the couch, this time with an axe in his hands, he says "I love you" but the words come out wrong, there's an anger in them, a bitterness. She startled awake and sees the axe in his hands, she falls to the floor trying to escape, screaming for help. He knows how secluded they are, that no one can hear her. In her fear and shock, frantically attempting to get away, crawling on the floor she accidentally knocks the candle off the table, the wax spills onto her hair, catching it on fire, the flames spreading to her face, burning, her skin melting. As she is screaming in agony, the cowboy smiles at her. Enjoying every bit of the show. He's not satisfied to allow the flames to take her though. He strikes down on her left leg with the axe. Next he hits the right leg, then her arms. Finally, to finish her before she bleeds to death, he strikes down one final time across her neck, chopping off her head...

He leaves her house walking slowly, hat tipped down once again covering his black eyes, but you can see his grin, the Smiling Cowboy...

  14. A device that would show those plucky enough the last 30 seconds before their demise was bound to attract a crowd.

I'd been waiting in line for the past 4 hours, chatting with the less moody individuals braving the experience along with myself.

The ideal result was to see a hospital ceiling or even blackness, showing a peaceful passing; less ideal would be to see the rotating insides of a car, or falling thousands of feet above the ground, perhaps the murky blue of the sea.

But that wasn't worth thinking about, I'd waited my life for this opportunity, and wasn't about to back out now so close to the front.

The room was small and empty, save for a table with a pair of binocular looking devices sat in the middle of it. I put them to my eyes, expecting to see the faces of my loved ones staring down at me.

I saw a table with a pair of binocular looking devices in the middle.

    I turned around.
