Controversy Vegans I overheard a conversation with a couple of chaps from my private school and what one kept saying was that meet was bad for the body and kept making the other kid feel bad that he was eating dead animals that were just slaughterd as babies. I facepalned so hard and called the vegan a foolio (I said something else) and walked away. What do you think about this, and what would you say to Dr vegan?
Hm. Well honestly I've been thinking about going vegetarian, not vegan.? I've been trying pretty hard to limit the meat I eat. I just don't think most meats taste good anyways. With the added effect that I dislike eating animals. Plus it's obviously overall a bit healthier since you don't get the added fat that meat gives. On the other hand, being on a vegetarian or vegan diet can get pretty pricey. And people, especially adolescents who are still growing, need the fat and protein provided in meat. Also, it's called the circle of life. We eat animals who eat other animals. It's not harming the vegan guy, if others eat meat, so why should he care? Conclusion: Bacon is my lover.
I've got mixed feelings on this subject, lol. I was a vegetarian for a few years, and went vegan for like a month before I caved. Lol. Being a vegan for that one month was expensive, as well as totally unsatisfying. No meal really made me happy. I eat meat again, because nothing really compares to it. It sucks, all of what the animals (in the US, at least) go through in their lifetime, as short as it may be, but when veggie hotdogs and other supplements taste as good, I'd go back. Now, what I would love is to see the US work on their laws pertaining to animals born to slaughter. Some of it's just unconscionable, which is what took me to vegetarianism in the first place.
I love animals to death but I am not a vegan(I'm truly sorry for the chickens, pigs cows,etc)... Also that vegan guy was complaining about the other one eating dead animals, eating living animals would be even worse...it would be just...sick
Almost forgot, Dr. Veghead can suck it. Asking someone if they'd like to learn about your choice to become a vegan, and explaining without being a condescending jerk is possible, lol. No one likes an ass that treats meat-eaters like scum just because their food choice is different. Omnivores and Herbivores can coincide, just like in Dino-days.
I always get that feeling like "Damn I'm eating a animal that prolly got slaughtered shamelessly" then I'm like "But this cheeseburger good asf".And I hate noisy vegans that's always tryna preach about whats ethical. Mind your business and worry about if you really eating "organic" products.
Farm animals have been bred for centuries to be as tame and domesticized as possible. Wouldn't survive if it wasn't for meat eaters anyway. Save the cow, eat more burgers!
