how do you cope with Anxiety?

  1. My right hand man, proactivity.

  2. I heard drinking a bottle of bleach would help

  3. Pregnancy will send your hormones all over the place but can't say whether or not it will make it worse or not. There's a chance it will since there's an entirely new set of things to be anxious about. Personally I find myself crazily anxious just about things that aren't there. As in I worry about what there is that I should be worrying about if that makes sense and end up in a total panic. I was diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depressive disorder.

I find that the tablets and a strong friend network help me. Good luck

  4. Well im an emtophobic(Fear of throwing up) and every time i feel slightly sick which is actually often i got into anxiety meltdown mode and what i do is try and calm down and power through it or do something to take my mind of it.

I know this might not help but i tried?

  5. Tiffany/Pumpkin is right. Works for me.

  6. This a taboo.
For some it can improve but for many it makes it worse

  7. I found my hormones were mental when pregnant just saying. The honest answer would be to seek medical advice from your gp. I know it varies with my 1st and 3rd I was more up than down . With my 2nd I was more anxious. Sorry to ramble long and short is every pregnancy different so theirs no real answers. ..

  8. Personal question did u get worse before better upon starting meds? I only ask that's why I told my gp I'm not taking them as I felt worse

  9. I don't, but yeah usually writing out the feelings will help

  10. The consensus is in.

  11. Once I was very stressful in RL .....and only thing the doc gave was some sedative .....wasn't helping much, then I tried naturopathy and was given some medicinal herbs with suggestions of doing yoga .....helped but not immediate help ......so my friend, an aromatherapist gave me mixture of 2 essential oils, once had to smell before bed and another after waking in the morning ......it was much effective what I had tried before

  12. Blow bubbles ? that's relaxing

  13. I disagree with you, drugs do help as its a chemical imbalance in your brain and the medicine helps with that AND gives you the ability when not having panic attacks to learn coping mechanisms. Op find things that distract you when you feel one coming on that helps as well. ALSO it can take a few medications before you find the one that works for you, the first ones you get won't necessarily work and sometimes it takes more than a week for the medication to do their job.

  14. ^ That is very true. Also, just because you feel better when you are on the medication, does not mean you are actually better.
Too many people stop taking their meds just because they don't feel ill anymore, and the consequences to that can be brutal.

  15. To be honest, probably a bit as I expected an instant reaction and didn't get one so felt like nothing was working. They can take up to 6 weeks to start kicking in and you might just not have found the right type for you x
