Fudge Cake (Lover Bees)

    A rich but light chocolate fudge cake

    Ingredients
    * 175g Self raising flour
    * 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
    * 1 Tsp Bicarbonate soda
    * 150g Caster sugar
    * 2 Eggs Beaten
    * 150 ml (1/4 pint) Sunflower oil
    * 150 ml (1/4 pint) Semi skimmed milk
    * 2 Tbsp Golden syrup
    * For the Coating and filling
    * 75g Unsalted butter
    * 175g Icing Sugar
    * 3 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
    * Drop of Milk

    Method:
    * Pre-heat oven to 180ยบC/350F/Gas Mark 4. Grease and line two 18cm (7 inch) sandwich tins.
    * Sieve the flour, cocoa and Bicarbonate of Soda into a bowl. Add the sugar and mix well.
    * Make a well in the centre and add the syrup, eggs, oil and milk. Beat well with electric whisk until smooth.
    * Spoon the mixture into the two tins and bake for 25 - 30 minutes until risen and firm to the touch. Remove from oven, leave to cool before turning out onto a cooling rack.
    * To make your butter icing, place the butter in a bowl and beat until soft. Gradually sift and beat in the icing sugar and cocoa powder then add enough milk to make the icing fluffy and spreadable.
    * If the cake has risen a little to high then use a serrated knife to even off the top, now sandwich the two cakes together with the butter icing and cover the sides and the top of the cake with more butter icing.

  5. I'm sorry, but asexual bake the best cakes so let me teach you how a real fudge cake is made.

    INGREDIENTS
    1 1/2 c Brown Sugar
    1/2 c Butter
    1/2 c Milk
    1/2 c Flour
    1 t Vanilla
    1 t Salt
    2 Eggs
    5 tb Cocoa
    5 tb Milk
    1 c Flour

    PROCEDURE
    In saucepan put the 5 tbs. cocoa and 5 tbs milk and bring to a boil stirring constantly, remove from heat and cool. Cream butter and sugar, add beaten eggs. Add the 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup flour. Add the cocoa mixture then the flour, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla. Pour into greased and floured 9 in. layer cake pans. Bake in 350 oven 30 โ€“ 35 min. FILLING: 1/2 c white sugar
    1 1/2 tbs. cocoa
    1 heaping tbs. flour
    1 c hot water
    1 tbs. butter
    Cook until thick and cool. Cut each cake layer in two and put some filling between each. On top sprinkle some icing sugar.

    1 box angel food cake mix
    1 box chocolate cake mix
    Mix together in an airtight container for use later

    In a microwave safe bowl
    3 tablespoons mix
    2 tablespoons water
    1 minute in the microwave
