First off - if you don't know I don't really want your thoughts... I want to know how plunder from battle works in this stupid game. In war I can hit an opponent and earn $500k full troops. Next regen, I hit same person with same everything (their pots, my pots, my troop level) and I earn $160k. Can anyone explain that? I am at max plunder as well...
Need more details. Do both your "cash won" and "tutor bonus" drop, or only one? After it drops, does it stay at the lower level, or is it erratic ups and downs? Is it possible your opponent got stripped? I'm presuming the rest is constant, i.e. your tutors don't change, and the number of pots both u and the opponent used are the same? As far as I can tell, cash won is affected by "real" stats. That includes the baseline stats from crew, the bonus stats from tutors, and the extra from pots. If any of these 3 things is reduced, cash won drops. Tutor bonus is affected by the bonus you get from your tutors, and is calculated as a percentage of cash won, up to a certain limit (as you mentioned, max plunder). However, I suspect it is also affected by the cash the opponent has on hand. If the opponent has zero cash, tutor bonus plummets. These are my guesses based solely on observations during war. I haven't bothered to carry out any experiments yet. If anyone has better theories, I would love to hear them. =)
Yes all was constant - crew, pots, tutors. I was ~18k combined stats and my opponent was ~30k combined. What would cause me to earn ~$150k? Another example - I have an inactive I farm. They are 2k strength and 14k intelligence. If I fight I get $315k first hit - when I dance I get ~$255k first hit... My stats are pretty even 9k each... So what gives? Has anyone figured out the plunder bonus for the different crews?
Not quite true. There is a formula. And it's a separate formula for cash and tutor bonus. However the results are downweighted as the person you are hitting gets weaker and loses money.
Warrior isn't correct. Get out your notepads and record your hits and you'll soon see how easy the formulas are.
I have run number and I have hit someone half my size and someone twice my size and my more hitting the one half my size. While I won against both which totally messed up the formula that I have developed. None of the ATA games are designed to allow you to figure out the formula for plunder. You can find formulas that yield similar results but none will exactly match. The Helper _Warrior
Actually corinthian got all the formulas correct. The plunder per build in another game but the devs do tweak it too often. More often tweaks happen when new crew/buildings come out or the player builds are too focused on only one strategy
Right guys don't hit someone random go pair up with a buddy and you will see the following: How your cash in calculated How your tutor bonus is calculated That there is a down-weight multiplier as you get weaker That there is a down-weight multiplier as your opponent gets weaker This will then determine how you spend your cash to maximise your plunder and what routes give you the maximum return on investment
It's probably more correct to say that when YOU attack, your decline in plunder/attack gold is due to your decline in stats. When someone is defeated, they suffer small losses. It should be noted that it's hard to say If tutor bonus stats add to your overall worth from a reward for defeating you. Based on observations, I would say no. The best strategy is attack 3 times, win 3 times. Then regen to full and come back.
Ever wondered why you can hit someone when youre on full power at different times of the day and the plunder varies...? Answer... Their power remaining is a downweight on max plunder
Thank you Wayne. I appreciate you confirming that. In that scenario, it would be next to impossible to get formula (hint all these games run on formulas...) without knowing opponents strength.
Also if the person you attacked is weakened then you won't get that same 500k you got when they were full strength.
I always farm this one innactive player and at the very most he gives me 777k. He almost always gives less than that because he is a popular player but this one time I hit him today he gave me 777k and the next hit right after it said defender was too weak. Every single time other than this when he gives 777k, he is at full stats and doesn't turn too weak for at least 8 hits. I am guessing that plunder could be a piece-wise function which could make it non-consistent and harder to determine. I do believe there is a formula for this but it is randomized to where its not always the same formula each time. If there is no formula at all then stats wouldn't matter so there is some formula but there may be more than one which would be the result of a piece-wise function.
